Sometimes, if you want something done right… You’ve gotta do it yourself. On her most recent trip, professional wanderer and amateur sleuth, Tulia Blake guides her RV to the ruggedly beautiful city of Billings, Montana.
She settles into a local RV park, then heads out to do some shopping and learn about where the best nearby camping spots are.
Her world is rocked when she returns to the RV park and witnesses what she suspects is a murder/kidnapping.
Unfortunately, she doesn’t have any evidence regarding the crime, aside from what she saw.
When she reveals that the RV she saw driving away with the kidnapped victim inside happened to be the exact same model as hers - and even had the same first three license plate numbers - the police dismiss her concerns.
Determined to get to the bottom of what happened, and hopefully save a life, Tulia tracks the RV across the state herself, in a breathtaking attempt to solve the crime before it’s too late.
When Cozy Mystery author, Patti Benning, isn’t busy plotting the deaths of multiple fictitious characters, she loves to spend time hiking with her rescue dog, Max, who is her bestest writing buddy.
Patti loves to cook and the food in her books has been tried and tested in her very own kitchen. She’s technologically shy, and stays away from social media a great deal, because it makes her feel more awkward and introverted than meeting someone face to face.
Writing is the perfect job for her because in her books, she gets to explore all the topics she loves, food, animals, crafts and reading. She loves her readers dearly, and is thankful for the opportunity to share with them through her work.
I enjoyed this short story. It’s entertaining, doesn’t take long to read; I like the protagonist (although it’s hard to believe she takes risks like she does all the time!), I like the pet parrot who is the protagonist’s best friend and companion. The mystery is light, and not that difficult to figure out, but relaxing to read. I recommend.
Another great book in the Rambling RV cozy mystery series! I love following Tulia along her road trip and all the action that comes along with it. In this book Tulia is tracking a serial killer and things go awry. I read this in one sitting and I’m looking forward to the next book!
In this third book, Tulia comes into Billings to get coffee before moving on to her campground. When she parks at the store, an RV exactly like hers is there. On her way into the store, a homeless man asks for money to help him get to California. She gets money as change with her coffee and treats but when she goes outside he is gone. Feeling a little down she goes to her RV. She gets inside just as she sees the owner of the one next to hers come along with the homeless man. Remembering what Samuel had told her about looking for a serial killer that resembled her driving an RV that was almost identical, she decides to follow that RV as they leave. She ends up losing her and calls Samuel. They team up trying to solve the murders. Samuel goes missing and she tracks him to the ranch of a famous rodeo star. Luckily she gets Samuel back and solves a string of murders as well
I received this copy in exchange for an honest review
Another will written travel murder mystery family and friends relationships adventure thriller short story by Patti Benning (Rambling RV Cozy Mystery book 3). Tulia leaves Wisconsin and travels through North and South Dakota on to Montana and stopping in Billings for groceries she sees an RV just like 👍 hers. After getting groceries she sees a man 🚹 who asked her for money 💰 get into the RV. The man 🚹 is found dead and she meets up with Samuel at the scene. She keeps searching for the RV. Then finds it at a ranch with Samuel held captive. The killer is caught and Tulia continues her traveling. I would highly recommend this series and hopefully book four in coming by the author. Enjoy the adventure of reading or listening to books 📚. 2022 👒☺
In this 3rd book in the Rambling RV Cozy mystery series Tulia has headed into Billings, Montana. She parks her RV and heads in to do some shopping. She thinks she’s spotted a kidnapping of a homeless person and the person who did it is in an RV just like hers. So is this the person that Samuel and Marc have been looking for? She tries to tell the police, but they dismiss her concerns. So she tries to track her down and hopefully save a life. She even runs into Samuel again. He’s been tracking the other RV. Eventually she ends up finding the kidnapper/murderer and Samuel, who is now missing. This was an enjoyable, quick read that had you wondering what was going to happen as Tulia investigates on her own. Now on to her next stop. And will Samuel show up again even though this case he was on is now successfully closed.
Tulia's way braver than I'd ever be with traveling the country in her RV. She's made it through to Montana without incident (between books of course) but now murder strikes again. At least she got to meet up with new sort-of friend Samuel again and at one point, I'm pretty sure he was super happy to see her. I wasn't totally sure till the end who the perp was and wow what a showdown!
Another little ongoing story was resolved and another killer put away, all in a day's work for Tulia and her faithful sidekick, Cicero.
Tulia is now in Montana and as she stops for groceries she notices an RV just like hers and she remembers Samuel telling her that a rv likes here was driven by the serial killer. Tulia is determined after a man she sees goes missing to get on the case.
I love Tulia and her adventures as she goes on her trip to explore America. I really enjoy the descriptions of the places she is in. I really enjoyed the story line and I love Tulia's parrot. A good fast read which is entertaining.
I’m really getting into this newish series. It’s like taking mini vacations through the country without leaving my comfy reading chair. A different state is visited in each book and a murder is solved while the protagonist travels around in her home on wheels. The storyline is creative and the mystery well plotted. Don’t miss this book (or the rest of the series)!
I have read the first two books in the series and this is a great addition. It is a light easy reading short story as Tulia continues her cross country trip with her parrot and heads to Montana. However she can not get away from the serial killer story. A fun read with surprises and twists and turns that holds your attention.
What more does a cozy mystery need? This is a well written, well edited story with characters who are also nicely developed. I will miss Samuel and Marc if they don't make an appearance in book 4. I cannot wait to see what Tulia gets up to in Patti Benning's next book.
Will, Tulia get to enjoy Montana's beauty and see her first rodeo? Samuel and the SUV are back, but this time he isn't following her. Samuel has a lead on the actual serial killer. Little does Tulia's knows she met the killer. Enjoy the mystery and Tulia's adventure!
I love all things RV's, and I love mysteries, so I, of course, love these books. While these books are under 100 pages each, they pack a punch. Each character comes alive, including the parrot, and I love that each book can be read in one sitting. Of course, this is a 5 star series, and I will be reading on.
This has been a really difficult road trip so far. And then if just trying to go see a rodeo you find someone is missing. Well there goes your easy evening. But that was the last thing to happen in the serial killer case. Can she now continue with the cross country wondering.
Loving this wild fun original new series. A lot that has been going on in the last few books comes to a dramatic conclusion. I look forward to reading more about Tulia’s adventures.
Another exciting adventure with Tulia! This installment had me on the edge of my seat...twists and turns up to the minute. Great story... I am excited to see where we go next!
This road trio kicked up a notch for Julia and Cicero, very intense in spots, but I really enjoyed the pace who knows what lies ahead for this dynamic duo!
This is a follow up from the 2nd book. You will want to read it before you read this book. Good book kept me reading. Tulia continues to be more interesting with each book. Recommend reading.
Tulia and her winged sidekick take us on another cozy adventure, and once again it's an enjoyable one. The stakes are higher this time, heightening the tension.
