Interesting

There are some interesting patterns in this book. Most are very simplistic but worth trying. Certainly a good book for almost anyone.

This is a great book for beginners! The designs are fairly simple and straightforward, but they look unique and fancy. There's a section in the front that introduces materials and a section that introduces techniques. I like that there are several techniques included that you don't always see in craft how-to books, such as making a rosary-style chain and creating your own findings. I also like that the author really encourages the reader to experiment and make the designs his or her own. A lot of the designs, I probably wouldn't personally wear, but several of the techniques and patterns the author uses inspired me to utilize some of my own materials in similar ways. Overall, this is not a book I would buy for myself, but I think it would be a great gift for a beginner. Also, I'm glad my library had a copy so I could get some inspiration!

The beginning sections of the book which feature equipment/materials descriptions and general techniques were pretty good and had great photos. However, I didn't like more than a small handful of design in the entire book (must be my age showing), so I'm glad I didn't buy this book. It's worth reading for the techniques part, especially for beginners.

Clear directions and a variety of designs and materials. I especially liked the variations as springboards to substituting other materials.

The technique sections are good, but most of the designs don't appeal to me. Worthwhile as a reference for the techniques, though.

Only a couple of the designs were really my style but they would be relatively easy to adapt. The technique section at the start was solid.

I like the easy layout of the book, the clear photos and some of the jewelry designs.
