تلاش نویسندگان کتاب برای پوشش دادن اکثر رشته‌های مرتبط با علوم شناختی، به صورت مقدماتی طبیعتاً، نتیجه‌ی خوبی داشته و برای من جذاب بود در کل.. قسمت بزرگی از کتاب رو مبانی و پایه‌های علوم اعصاب شناختی شکل می‌ده و از اون جهت که نویسنده‌های کتاب سعی کرده بودن توضیحات نسبتاً مفصلی درباره‌ی ریشه‌های فلسفی علوم شناختی و همینطور فلسفه‌ی ذهن ارائه بدن برای من که از بیس علوم زیست-پزشکی هستم انتخاب خوبی بود.
