Win For Love is a full-length, standalone novel. One-click this New Adult Romance and hit the jackpot with a story full of hope, growth, and desire.
Isabelle Peterson is the author of Intoxicating Romances weaving her love of wine and cocktails into steamy, swoonworthy love stories. She’s a Chicago suburban girl living in coastal Connecticut with her husband of more than thirty years. When she's not writing, Isabelle can be found creating a new cocktail or enjoying a favorite one, savoring a good glass of wine, cooking or baking. In fact, if she weren't a creative writer, she'd probably be a bartender or chef somewhere.
Win for Love is my first Isabella Peterson read. And I was impressed with her writing. The characters and story were totally relatable and realistic.
I’ll admit that early on I felt like the story was moving at a slower pace than I’d have preferred, but as I continued I realized that the pace for this particular story was perfect. It may have ultimately been a love story, but for me it was a story of a woman finding her independence and finally getting the opportunity to discover who she is and who she wants to be.
That fateful moment she won that lottery her life was set on a course that not only affected her own life, but the lives of those around her. Despite the situation of her childhood, she wasn’t jaded by it. She maintained an optimistic view and strived to work hard for a better life for herself.
Her quickly developing relationship with David was just the icing on the cake. Inspiration is what I got out of Crystal’s story. It was a feel good story that I enjoyed from start to finish!
Have you ever thought about winning the lottery? What would you do with the money? Pay bills, buy a house, buy a car, take a vacation, quit your job??
Well Crystal has never thought about that because she never has enough money to buy a ticket. With an alcoholic mom, she’s the sole provider and caretaker. Her only brother is in jail so he’s no help either.
One morning, and it’s Friday the 13th to boot, she finds some money laying on the ground. Turns out to be a $10 bill. Thinking about what to do, she looks up and sees a sign for the lottery and decides to buy a scratch off. Later at work, she finally scratches it and LOW AND BEHOLD, SHE WON. $5000 A WEEK FOR LIFE!!
Meanwhile, in Chicago, we have David Waterston. A very rich man who is so tired of all the gold diggers after him just for his money. Then to top it off, he’s voted as 1 of Chicago’s 20 most eligible singles.
Now Crystal moves to Chicago with the name Talia Jameson. When they cross paths, David introduces himself as David Redding. So both of them have secrets, and half truths.
This book is their story, learning to trust and to love and accept love. They both have traumatic background stories that make up their life as it is now.
“My intro to the book up there, leaves so much information out that you just need to read this for yourself. I will tell you this, there is an HEA, and absolutely no cheating.”
I love ❤️❤️ this book so much. All of the descriptions Isabelle uses, makes me feel like I was right there. I enjoyed reading about all of the characters in this book too. Awesome book!!
4.5 stars! I quickly got absorbed into this story as Crystal has to deal with her alcoholic mother and the men she brings home. Crystal is 24, did not attend college because of her mother and brother, and is stuck at low paying job. She finds $10 and buys the winning ticket. Then the story takes off on her adventures in Chicago.
She meets David who she does not recognize as being one of the most eligible bachelors. There were some hilarious happenings on the dates. There were also some unexpected twists that made this story memorable for me. And a smoking hot, sexy scene.
I rooted for Crystal because she had such a tough life, and she finally had enough money to walk away and let her mom fend for herself. That to me was a very important scene in the book because Crystal was not sure which way her mother would go, and the guilt she felt was relatable. But as the story unfolds, she gets a chance to find out something that has haunted since she was a little girl.
I loved the cover model look. She looks just as I imagined Crystal. Also the scene with Chase Smythe from Chasing the Dream (Dream series book 3) was fun!
Note: I received this as an ARC and also preordered a copy.

Another fabulous book from author Isabelle Peterson! I have read all of Ms. Peterson’s books, and I just love how vivid her characters are. They always have so much depth that it becomes very easy to get completely drawn into the storyline.
In Ms. Peterson’s latest novel, Win for Love, Crystal had a difficult childhood and had to grow up early to help her alcoholic mother. As the story continues, Crystal moves to Chicago trying to live on her own for the first time but is fearful it will all disappear. When we meet David, at first glance, he looks like the typical privileged bachelor from a very well known family. The two seemed complete opposites at first glance. As the story continues, we learn more about them and realize how perfect they are for each other.
I just love this book and read it in one day! I definitely recommend you adding it to your TBR list!
When you've read everything an author writes you expect to enjoy their books but this book I loved! It's one of leaving what you know because you have to for yourself, about finding you, about secrets and taking chances. Both Crystal and David by chance find each other now they have to decide if love is enough to risk it all, too give up all their secrets. Be ready for the heat, the smiles and yes some tears. Be ready for a book you must read!
I liked just about everything about this book - right down to the Author's Social Responsibility Statements and Acknowledgements.
Things I really enjoyed about this one: - The story was different, I loved the whole Lottery Winning aspect - How responsible Crystal handled her winning - Both Crystal and David had secrets they didn't share with the other, adding to the angst - Forgiveness was woven throughout - I LOVED the Anniversary of Crystal moving to Chicago - The six degrees of separation between Talia's new friends, David and Jimmy - Leo & his family, the closure for Crystal & Leo, the help for Francisca and how they become family - The way things change for Crystal from beginning to end, so deserved!!!
This one gave me the warm & fuzzies, so I recommend you pick it up, get comfy and enjoy!
Win for Love by Isabelle Peterson tells the story of Crystal who has been living a difficult life caring for her alcoholic mother and trying to manage on a daily basis. She finds some money on the street, one day and even though she could use the $10 for a meal, decides to play the lottery and wins $5,000/week for life.
This is a game changer for Crystal who has been taking care of everyone and who has been scammed before. I was on the edge of my seat, as I did not want anyone to take advantage of this beautiful caring individual, especially her addicted mother or her jailed brother.
Crystal is smart and wants a new life, so with her winnings she moves to Chicago. While in Chicago, she meets David who unbeknownst to her is one of the most eligible bachelors in the city.
Throughout the story Crystal who changes her name to Talia, struggles with self-doubt, but David sees her for who she truly is, although it takes a little while to get there. I fell in love with this couple and how they navigated their differences. They both were able to see things from a different perspective, even with a wide gap in upbringing.
I have read all of Isabelle Peterson’s books and I will say that this is one of my favorites. I hope that we will have the opportunity to re-visit these characters again in the near future.
I have been a fan of Isabelle Peterson's since her first book Ditching the Dream. I devoured that series and every other book since. I knew I couldn't go wrong with this one. Win For Love is a bit different from her other books, but still a romance. Crystal has had a tough life so far. She has basically grown up taking care of her alcoholic mother, has no idea who her father is and watched her brother go down the wrong path. She's tried to walk away before but unfortunate events led her back home. She stumbles across a chance opportunity and needless to say it really pays off. She finally has the means to break away and make a life for herself away from it all. She moves to Chicago, changes her name, meets a new love interest and everything seems to be changing for the better. She still struggles with self doubt, and worries that if everyone knew where she came from it would all go down the drain. David is Chicago's most eligible bachelor. He's been wronged many times before by women who just see the dollar signs that come with his last name. He's sworn of serious relationships for good, until he sees Talia (Crystal). But can he trust her or is she after his money too? This was a refreshing, fun with a little angst thrown in, read from one of my favorite authors!
Isabelle Peterson brings us a great "feel-good" story with so much heat....it'll singe you a little bit. Ever wonder what you would do if you won the lottery? Would your life change drastically? Would you keep it quiet? Would you live it up? Will love ever find you for YOU and not for your money? Both David and Crystal have their own issues with what having money brings you and both will have to deal with those issues in order to move forward in life. Will they move forward together? I absolutely loved how Crystal dealt with this new found money and life and in the end...it doesn't buy happiness...but it might just put you in the right place TO find that happiness.
I loved the storyline for this one. The character development was fantastic and everything flowed perfectly. It was new and refreshing. I really admired Crystal and sympathized with everything she was dealing with.
Isabelle Peterson is one of a few must read authors for me. I love the way she weaves a tale. When Crystal and David meet they are both trying to hide their wealth but for very different reasons. There are pleasant surprises throughout the story that kept me turning the pages.
I enjoyed this book. The storyline is new and refreshing. Crystal wins the lottery but keeps it a secret from everyone including her alcoholic mother who she's been taking care of for years. Needs a change and moves to Chicago where she meets rich handsome David who also is keeping secrets. Will there secrets separate them or will they get a HEA.
What a great story! I really admired Crystal for trying to take care of her alcoholic mother. She then realized she was also enabling her by staying. A chance finding of $10 leads to a winning lottery ticket, and a new life for Crystal. I loved the connection between Crystal and David. Their connection was beyond physical, beyond words. When their secrets come out, will their relationship survive, or will their lives be too much to get past? Sometimes love is the biggest prize there is.
not my 1st read by Isabelle, really enjoy the style this book was written in, love the cover ... i found myself really emotional involved in this read, did shed a few tears for her, tissues please? I mean why couldn't see catch a break? I felt for Crystal. she had put up with so much crap in her life, dealing with her Mom's drinking, which in my humble no kid should ever have to deal with, that should be the parents problem no placed on the child, they deserve a life too, a childhood free of regret and hating what the parent is going through, so sad ...just an all around poohy road. You wanted something better and more positive for her. Wanted her to just break bad, have a ball, enjoy life and her adulthood, u know??! ( ;
Crystal had to grow up fast. She has been taking care of her drunk mother forever. Her brother had bad luck and is jail. Crystal found some money and wanted to play the lottery. She won five thousand dollars a week for life! This is her new beginning. She wanted to move away and start living her life. She moves to Chicago and puts one foot in front of the other and lives one day at the time. David is a rich investor that just wants someone to love him for himself not his money. He bumps into Crystal at the aquarium and couldn’t look away. Will the truth come out at the end or will money and lies win?
4.5 stars What a charming character Crystal was in this book. Despite her up bring she is a lovely young woman. There are some difficult subjects handled very accurate and fair. I love the neighbors in the trailer park who treat her wonderful. I want to be those people!! I love David too. His secret is his genetics and the book addresses another difficult subject tenderly. Overall you're going to feel something great after Crystal's story.
I found this book to be a wonderful story about two people who want to be loved for who they are, and not what they are. I love following Crystal and David's story as they discover who they are, not only to themselves but each other.
I found this book to be a wonderful story about two people who want to be loved for who they are, and not what they are. I love following Crystal and David's story as they discover who they are, not only to themselves but each other.
Crystal Jameson has had a rough life. Her mom is an alcoholic, her brother is in prison, and well she never even knew who her dad was because her mom couldn’t remember. Her life is mostly just ran on autopilot after giving up her dreams to take care of her mother. One day all of her luck changes when she finds a ten dollar bill and decides to play the lottery. All of a sudden this girl from the trailer park is living it big up in Chicago and secretly dating one of the city’s most eligible bachelor’s. Crazy thing, neither one knows the truth about each other’s past and identity. What could go wrong??
So I know I’ve said I’m not a romance fan and here I am posting my second romance review in a row. I was intrigued by the synopsis of a small town girl winning the lottery and figured I’d give it a go. I was plesantly surprised by this book and there was even a major plot twist. Who knew romance books could have those?!?!
I think the part I really enjoyed about this book is that Crystal’s trailer park is set in a fictional town nearby where I grew up and it’s not too far off to have parents not give a crap about their kids and focus more on their vices. I could really relate to Crystal and her background. I’ve also never read a book that was set so close to my hometown so that was really exciting.
This book is getting a ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4 out of 5 star review)
I never tire of Isabelle's writing! As I've said in other review of her books, Isabelle knows how to write about love. She has a fluid writing style where love comes out in every word she writes. She understands what makes a relationship work and how to portray that on the page. She can write some hot and steamy sex scenes as well - sometimes slow and sensual and other times hot and heavy.
I admired Crystal greatly for sticking by her alcoholic mother. I worried about her like she was my own child. I loved how David treating her - put her happiness and well-being above all else. There were several side characters that I loved as well - the Schwartzkopfs, Lainey, Jimmy.
I have to say, I take forever with this one because my job was killing me, but I finally found the time during a long flight to Australia and back and I can say I am not disappointed.
I love Isabelle's writing style for starters so I might be a little biased here, but I loved the story which is pretty much a Cinderella storyline, my kind of thing absolutely since I'm a sucker for cliches.
Definitely, another of my favorite books and I am so looking forward to reading more by Isabelle. I also loved how it hint's another of her books getting you the feeling that the world is, in fact, not that big.
Empowering, heartbreaking, sad, love, a book that has ALL THE FEELS!
This was such a beautiful rags to riches story is so many ways. Sure it was based on a monetary windfall that changed Crystal- AKA Talia’s life but it was also a mental And emotional windfall in so many ways. What an empowering read! Talia had an amazing strength and compassion that captured David who was born into a wealthy powerful family and business and he saw the good in Talia when others simply saw him for his money and what it could buy them. This was an amazing read, I loved every minute and Isabelle-Peterson proves to impress with every book I read by her. 5 stars 🌟 a definite must read that has all the feels
Oh how I loved absolutely everything about this book!! Poor Crystal has done everything to drag herself out of the life she had been living...but being constantly dragged back down by her alcoholic mom. Until the lucky day she plays the lottery...and wins. Crystal is finally able to move on with her life, only to doubt everyone new that comes into her life, David included. David has his own reason to doubt everyone. It was agonizing knowing the secrets Crystal and David were keeping from each other. Plus there were also twists I definitely did not see coming! Highly recommend!!
Such an engaging read from this author. Surrounded by many "feel good" moments, this book also shows the sadness and destruction of alcoholism. Ms. Peterson tackles it in a believable way, as well as in a responsible way. Actually there are a few addictions that the author includes links for help at the end of the book that wowed me. The story line grows wonderfully. First setting the scene for Crystal, and then David, and their journey to love. This book has many twists on the way to a HEA, and I highly recommend it.

This book will have you crying, laughing, hating the bad life, loving the good life, and if you're into happy endings READ THIS BOOK! I fell in love love with the characters even at their worst moments. Ms. Peterson you had me hooked at the beginning and never let up. Thank you for my new favorite book! I am looking forward to reading all your other books! I read on the average 500 books per year and I am so glad I got Win For Love! 5 stars!!!!
It started a little slow for my liking but when it took off, I had to hold on. The ride was a tad bumpy at times and left me feeling worried about our main character. This was a fantastic book, I enjoyed every bit of it.
I loved this book talia & David’s love story was very addictive , I could not put this book down. I really wanted something amazing to happen to Talia when she went to Chicago and I wasn’t disappointed.
