Baca versi Indonesia terbitan Kakatua.. Asli deh baca ini geleng - geleng kepala karena kelakuan si Eulenspiegel itu diluar nalar kadang.. cerdik sih tapi nakal.. kwkwkw lucu lah baca ini
Fun tales, it's interesting to make the connections to other trickster tales. I could see shades of Coyote especially...I guess because everything involved shit. Interesting to see the Christianization and de-magickafying of the archetype as it progressed through Middle Ages and Rennaissance. I would have liked better commentary/foot-noting...the intro was over a 100 pages long, and all about nitty-gritty distinctions between editions and translations. I didn't bother after 10 pages or so. Some more general historical context would have been nice, or even connections to other medieval lit or mythology.
