Granted this is the first book in the Brides of the Bloodstone trilogy but so far not as entertaining as the MacDonell Brides trilogy. This story didn't "suck me in" like the MacDonell Brides and I found myself having a difficult time staying focused during parts of the story but it was still a decent read.

This is the first book of a set of three. To end a fierce border war, a marriage is arranged between a leader of a Scottish clan & a proud member of the English family that has clashed with his family for years. Will they really fall in love or will the battle of wills deny them their true love?
