Stuff That Makes a Gay Heart Weep: A Definitive Guide to the Loud & Proud Dislikes of Millions
In 150 quick and witty entries, Freeman Hall captures every last detail of what makes every gay person flee the room in terror!
There's nothing gay men hate more than bad home décor, cheap vodka, and men who take off their shirts but shouldn't ( especially when those things happen all at once!). They believe they're unique, yet somehow they're all exactly the same, bitching about Prop 8 and lamenting the sad fact that Bradley Cooper is straight. A day without Bravo TV, disco music, frantic texting, and just the right designer clothes is enough to spend the day weeping under the covers.
Well, it's not quite that extreme, but it's definitely Stuff that Makes a Gay Heart Weep.
In this laugh-out-loud guide to the dislikes of millions, the Freeman Hall shows in 150 succinct entries that it's just not fair for Caucasians to have all the fun! You are invited to kick back, pour yourself a Ketel One on the rocks, and get lost in the bitchiest bitch-fest west of the West Village and this side of the Castro.

I got this book not once, not twice, not three times, but 4 times as a christmas gift....
yeah, I know.
lol
But despite all that, it was actually pretty funny and pretty spot on for alot of stuff that does make my gay heart weep.
:)
A good way to pass a couple minutes each day. Short, blog like entries. :)

Stuff That Makes a Gay Heart Weep is an entertaining and quick read, the kind of book I could picture myself gifting to gay friends and the hags who love them. Touching on such important topics as bad drag, Sarah Palin, Crocs, broken gaydar, instant coffee, tacky home decor, bad tippers, ugly tramp stamps, potlucks, ugly Christmas sweater parties, and closeted cartoon characters, just to name a few, Freeman Hall breaks down the many reasons why each topic is tragic enough to make anyone's rainbow-colored heart weep. Reading through the pop culture sprinkled references made me laugh, cringe, and even let out the occasional 'oh, girl!' and 'halleloo!'
My one criticism of the book was that I wanted it to go further - raunchier, more shocking, more cattiness - it was just a little too fluffy and nice for my tastes. Even the structure and language of each topic had a lot of repetition. With so many different topics covered, it got a little taxing to read so many topics with similar wording. I found the writing because stale quickly, and that made my queer heart weep.

Very quick-witted and humorous. I thought the insight that Freeman Hall shared is hysterical and many which I agreed with. Anyone who in joys a good burn book, will enjoy this guide.
" "Why is this line so long? Why do I have to wait?" They will then begin plotting how they can get to the front of the line."
"Secretly, everyone wants to be a drag queen."

Some of this was funny, most of it was dumb. And really, did we need to repeat the "weep" bit on every last one? I read the title of the book, I don't need it repeated to me ad nauseum.

A quick, funny read.

The title and back cover were the funniest parts. While I thought the book was cute, it wasn't as hysterical as I'd hoped.
