Fabulous book. If you are good at decorating cakes, or want to give a gift to a cake baker, then this is for you. Its got cakes as diverse as firemen and their hoses (!), a fat lady bursting out of a box (wonderful for an office birthday party) and, for the man in your life, an adonis posing on a bed with a come-and-get-me grin. The book is enjoyable for its own sake, you don't need to actually bake the cakes.

The cakes themselves are just normal cakes - maybe a few shaped ones. But the book is all about how to make naughty decorations - usually from fondant or sugar icing or other decorations. It is only for someone who wants to put in a LOT of time making cakes. It's not for the quick funny cake!

I was disappointed that there wasn't much variety in the cakes. Don't get me wrong, there are lots of ideas for how to make it naughty, but they are all basically the same base cake, the same principle, just making different people out of the icing/modeling paste.

Contains step by step instructions on how to construct attractive cakes with mature themes. My husband is currently making the hunky fireman cake for a bridal shower. The groom is a firefighter. Bear in mind that author is from the UK and some of the cake terms are different. Skill level to make these cakes is intermediate to advance.

BWOAHAHAHAHAH! I would just like everyone to know that the librarian ordered this for me, I did NOT find it myself - but I do think I'm going to have to attempt the stripper cake someday!
