"I was meant to be the committee chair of the benefit, and I will be," Cameron Warner announced. "And you're going to help me." "No way, Cameron," Adrienne Lewis said. "We had a deal, remember?" Cameron pointed her perfectly manicured finger at Adrienne. "What deal?" Adrienne asked innocently, but she cringed inside. She'd hoped Cameron had forgotten their conversation at the Manhattan Cotillion. "You help me dethrone Princess Mimi," Cameron crooned. "And I let you in on the secret Parker Devlin is keeping from your gal-pal Liz. And, believe me, this is something she oughtta know." Adrienne sighed. Cameron could make her life hell, as she had in the past. "Fine, I'll help you," Adrienne said. "So what is this secret of Parker's?" "No, no, no." Cameron smiled her evil, megawatt smile. "First you help me. Then I help you." There are secrets everywhere . . . After-school nanny Liz Braun's wealthy boyfriend, Parker Devlin, has a secret—one so scandalous that he won't share it with Liz. When the secret is finally blown wide open on the evening news, all of Parker's so-called friends dump him. Hurt, Parker pulls away from Liz—the one person who can actually help him. Eight-year-old Emma Warner, the little girl Adrienne Lewis takes care of after school, has a secret too. And she says it's about Adrienne! What could Emma know? Evil Cameron Warner has many secrets, but her two juiciest ones are about Parker's sordid extracurricular activities and about Adrienne!
Victoria Ashton was born in New York and attended an elite private school. She has worked and played with the rich and famous and has seen it all—the good, the bad, and the completely outrageous. Victoria divides her time among New York City, the Hamptons, and London.
This book is the sequel to Rich Girls. It is about that Parker has a sectret he's hiding from Liz and due to a promise, Adrienne has to go out on a date with Graydon, Cameron's brother. Parker always have some kind of phone calls that he has to take, even in the middle of an date. Soon, Parker starts to skip school and not even pick up his phone calls. Later, everyone found out that his family went bankrupt, and now he isn't rich anymore. Adrienne went on the forced date with Graydon, and surprisingly she enjoyed it. She enjoyed it so much, she fell in love woth Graydon and soon they were going out. When Peincess Mimi got chosen for the Debutante of the Year, Cameron vowed to get that position back. To do that, she made Mimi look really bad by spreading rumors and switching her essay on kings for a craapy one. When Adrienne told Liz that she's ready to go deeper into her relationship with Graydon, Emma overheard and showed her privatate conversations she taped from Graydon and Cameron. Adreienne found out that cameron made a bet with Grydon; if he could seduce Adrienne she would give him her car. Seeking revenge, Adrienne gave the tapes to Mimi, who later played it during the Benefit Commitee. Everyone was there, and everyone heard it so Cameron's reputation is ruined, and Adreinne and Liz is happy once again.
1. What did you think the book was about? I thought the book was about two teenage girls that are best friends and are going through normal teenage drama. With rumours, gossip and all of the above their jobs are just another stress. Overall this book is about teenagers going through teenager things. For example: All the rumours and gossip about Parker Devlin and about Liz. People are saying he's selling drugs, their breaking up, but in their school its hard to believe anything!
2. Did this book fulfill you expectations? Were you disappointed?
This book defiantly fulfilled my expectations. It was a fantastic book! This book was very interesting it was very detailed and realistic! For example: In the book it gives you very good insight: "No your the one that is special" Graydon said "so different from all the other girls" "right" Adrienne says in her head "so different, you think its cute to humiliate me to amuse yourself and Cameron". 3. Did you enjoy the book? Why? Why not? I loved the book, it was absolutely fantastic! I enjoyed the book because it is very interesting and very detailed! It is interesting to read because you do not see or read books about teen nanny’s and their drama. It is different from all the other books I have read. Definitely original! An example: And its all right if my number shows up?" Adrienne asked. "Hate to break it to you, but no one know who you are your on no ones radar" Cameron held out her hand, waiting for Adrienne to cough up the phone." It is good because there are rivalries’ between rich and normal. 4. What about the plot? Did it pull you in, or did you feel you had to force yourself to read the book? This book is defiantly pulled me in, it was very interesting and it felt like I never wanted to stop reading, its an awesome book for my age group (13, 14.15) It pulled me in by its over the top drama and conflict. Example: "About what? He said "About the drugs," Liz whispered "So?" He said "So Parker, you could get into trouble, you could go to jail. "For getting high every once in awhile? He asked "They'd have to arrest every kid in private school in New York if that were a real problem" "Parker" Liz said firmly "not every kid in every private school in New York is dealing drugs!" That is just 1 scene of this drama filled fantastic book! 6. Were the characters realistic? Would you want to meet any of the characters? Did you like them? Hate them?
Some of the characters were realistic. Most of them weren’t realistic though because they had so much money. The two realistic characters were Adrienne and Liz, the nanny’s but Cameron, Graydon, Mimi, Parker etc were not realistic, because they had so much money. They’d take fancy trips around the world for dinner, and go on 1000$ shopping sprees. Example: Graydon looked at his watch “It’s almost eight, we’re practically there” He picked up the phone which connected him to the cockpit “Paul? Gray here. Is the car waiting? Cool. Were landing now?” “Uh Graydon” Adrienne said “Where are we?” “That’s Baltimore” Graydon replied “I know a great little place for crab cakes there” That’s just one example of all the lavish treatment they receive.
12. Did the book end the way you expected?
Definitely not! This book did not end the way I expected. I expected the book to end with a happier ending. Like Graydon and Adrienne would still be together and that Adrienne totally miss understood the plan that Graydon and Cameron planned. That it wasn’t about her, but it was the total opposite they did try to get rid of Adrienne but Adrienne got them back first. Example: He made a plot to destroy Adrienne’s life with Cameron and Adrienne found out by listening to tapes that the little girl she babysits recorded. And Graydon said she was a little nothing on the tape, while they were dating!
13. Would you recommend this book to other readers? To your close friend?
Yes, I would recommend this book, but only for my age group (13, 14,15). And also most likely to one of my close friends because I know they would enjoy it. For example: This friend likes these kinds of drama, gossip high fashion books so It would make sense for me to recommend it to her.
15. What was your favourite part/ scene of the book?
My favourite part of the book was when Adrienne and Graydon hooked when she THOUGHT he changed from being the biggest player in town but they ended up going out. That was my favourite part because Adrienne was happy. Example: Adrienne’s eyes widened “Really?!” Graydon nodded “Really!” “I would love to go with you then, thank you!” Adrienne exclaimed.
16. What was your least favourite part/scene in the book?
My least favourite part of the book was when Adrienne found out that Graydon was playing her and Graydon was just playing her and Graydon and Cameron had a plan to ruin her life, Graydon was just using her that was the bad part of the story. Example: Graydon “why?” “Because she’ll never know what hit her” Cameron said “Poor Adrienne” Oh no! Adrienne thought “they’re talking about me!”
Erin Behr 3/28/13 Period 3 Confessions of a Teen Nanny: Juicy Secrets Nanny Liz Braun’s rich boyfriend, Parker Devlin, has a secret- one so big that he won’t share it with anyone. When the secret is spread all over the news, all of Parker’s so called “friends” don’t talk to him anymore. Parker is so hurt that he doesn’t talk to Liz anymore- who is the only person who can help. Liz’s best friend, Adrienne Lewis, takes care of Emma Warner after school. Emma has a secret too, and she says it’s about Adrienne. But what would she know? Emma’s sister Cameron also has juicy secrets. But her two juiciest ones are about Parker and Adrienne! Confessions of a Teen Nanny is a very descriptive book. The characters are well explained and I feel like I know the characters personally. Victorian Ashton described Adrienne as a well-dressed, smart, and friendly girl. The settings of the book are just as well described. Although the book took place in New York City and it is very large, I felt like I knew exactly where the author was trying to have the scene take place. When reading Confessions of a Teen Nanny, I came to like the characters. All the characters had different personalities. Liz is a sweet and charming girl while Parker is good looking and everyone falls in love with him. I liked all the characters because every one of them had a characteristic that made the story exciting. My favorite character was Cameron because everybody hated her so she did crazy things to get people to like her- which made the story exciting. This book is filled with drugs and people doing things they shouldn’t be doing. A lot of the characters have personal and social problems so they resort to drugs. The book can get very intense at times so this is why I would not recommend this book to younger children. I would recommend this book to seventh and eighth grade girls because a lot of things that happen in the book they can relate to. The book has a lot of backstabbing which occurs a lot for girls this age. Although the outline of the story can be bad, at the end of the book, it has good lessons and teaches you a lot about why things are so harmful and you shouldn’t do them.
This third novel by Victoria Ashton, JUICY SECRETS, is another great addition to the CONFESSIONS OF A TEEN NANNY series. In this book, many things change! There is also a huge cliffhanger for what will happen in the next book! I would only read this book if you have read the first two books, which are equally as phenomenal. If you don't read them in order they might not make a lot of sense.
Many secrets about people in the book are reveled and some odd couples get together. (Hint: They are two people you never would have expected!) Liz's relationship with Parker Devlin takes a bad turn! A very odd secret about Parker's father comes out and it totally crushes him!
Emma, the little nine-year-old whiz kid that Adrienne is a nanny for, becomes obsessed with the television show, CSI! Her new spy skills earn Adrienne some very interesting information about her new boyfriend.
You will just have to read the book to find out what else happens!
A continued book of the series of Confessions of a Teen Nanny, Adrienne and Liz are finally starting to live the fabulous life. Adrienne has cleared the memory of her ex-boyfriend and Liz's relationship with Parker is beginning to build stronger and stronger. However, all of this is about to change when secrets starts to spread and kept. The evil Cameron has her hands on the two juiciest secrets, one about Parker and another about Adrienne. Now she is using this as an advantage to convince Adrienne to help her get to the committee chair of the benefit by getting rid of Princess Mimi. She made a deal with Cameron at Manhattan Cotillion that she would help her if she told Park Devlin's secret that he is keeping from her best friend and his girlfriend, Liz. Secrets are all around and drama is beginning when the adventure starts. Even little Emma has a secret that deals with Adrienne.
considering that i finished this book before the gossip girl, i really see the flip side of what how the "other side lives". i was really duped by author's emotionaly appeal. i thought that a so called "bad guy" can change...turns out not. at least in this book. the one thing that kept me from being totally disappionted was that in the end she realized her friendship was the most important thing and that people that use her to get what they want out of other people is not what she wanted to do. wealth can't buy happineiess as the protaganist learns to accept. no matter how much she get payed for her nanny job, it is not worth it to lose her friendships.
i loved how the protaganist babysits a 8 year old that has a SAT vocabluary...i wish i was like that.
Juicy Secrets, the sequel to Confessions of a Teen Nanny and Rich girls is a come back for Adrienne. In this book Adrienne is going to take revenge on Cameron Warner for taking her boy friend and making her life miserable. Also, she find out the true meaning of the Warner family, everybody in that family, except for Emma is a lier and evil. Adrienne will make Cameron and her brother Graydon embarrassed in front of the whole media world.
In this book it shows how revenge is sweet and power is great. Funny and hilarious and realistic as this book is, please don't copy what Adrienne did.
I read this book out of a splurge. I should have read the first 2 books so I can understand this one better. This is a very cliche book about teenage girls or maybe women in general. Cameron knows two secrets, that if exposed, would hurt Adrienne. So she uses this to get Adrienne to help her. This type of storyline is in many tv shows like One Tree Hill or Gossip Girls. It's human nature for people to be selfish and want things. Also out of fear, they will do anything to protect themselves no matter what they think is wrong. A lot of drama happens because of these 2 secrets.
I am seriously annoyed by Adrienne. What is wrong with her? Who gets duped twice by the same person? Emma is awesome as always. Liz and Parker. I loved reading about the two of them. I love "their date" after Parker goes bankrupt. On the other hand Mimi was a good character as well. It was fun to read this book.
MUCH better. She finally gets that Brian sucks and that she should let him go, but then she goes for Cameron's brother!!!! hello!!! can you not smell trouble. The guy's a sleaze bag,, super rich, HOT, but still. She falls for another once again. Will Adrienne ever learn that guys suck!!! Not all guys I know.
well it was short and i thought it was high time Cameron gets a taste of her own deeds...... and i loved the way they ruin Cameron and Graydon.... those 2 really had it comming but i also thought they shouldnt have left Adrienne single ... but i love her confidence at the end! overall it was short, fast and i liked it :)
OH.MY.GOD.best ending ever! Ashton did a great job wrapping up the series. Wish there was more....(sigh). The way Adrienne gets back at Cameron always surprises me.I LOVE IT! THIS NEEDS TO BE MADE INTO A MOVIE!! (i would love to be in it!!)
Awh I can't believe Gray didn't actually like A!:( they would of been such a cute couple! I'm glad Liz & Parker are still together & happy!(: Good book overall! So intense.
