Shortly after the famous 40 Watt Club in Athens, GA opened at its second location I went to a performance there. Pylon, the Chick A Saw Mudd Puppies and other performed that night. During one performance a large, red bearded man came in stage. He was wearing a dress and operating a chain saw. My buddy and I looked at each other with ours mouths wide open. Words failed us. That was my introduction to Deacon Lunchbox. This collection contains his poetry, articles written by him and about him. Another friend of mine said he recently tried to describe the deacon to someone and he discovered he could not. Reading this will give readers a look at who this unique performer was. For me it was like a wicked tour of my early twenties.

Inspiring book of poetry (I've never said that before and never will again!)
