Hawk's Way #3

The Cowboy And The Princess

Rate this book
Faron Whitelaw had some nerve calling Belinda Prescott a princess. A nearly bankrupt ranch was hardly a castle, and Faron, an ill-tempered cowboy who'd inherited half her kingdom, was certainly no prince. The man was lucky she didn't make him sleep in the barn!

Faron had been spitting mad when Belinda had to inform him, because of his inheritance, about the truth of his parentage. Suddenly, he wasn't one of the Whitelaws of Texas, and he was taking his anger out on Belinda. He wanted to believe she was nothing more than a gold digger, but all she seemed to want was him ...and that was the one thing he couldn't give her.

HAWK'S WAY
Where the Whitelaws of Texas run free... till passion brands their hearts.

Our heroine married much older hubby to give her sisters a leg-up but was instead mistreated. H is her dead husband's illegitimate child and they run into each other as strangers and have a romp out in the open. H thinks step mommy is a money grubbing ho, then oh know she is an abused victim, then he is like how do I make her believe I love her. Fairly short and kind of hilarious.

Another fast read. I was wrong in my assessment of this series in it not intertwining characters. This series does bring characters from other books into each story. I was disappointed that when Jesse and Honey came to visit with Jesse's family on Labor Day they only brought their daughter and left Jack and Johnathan behind. It was as if Jack and Johnathan didn't exist; but we met them in the first of the series, Honey and the Hired Hand! The tension and angst between Garth and Candy in this book sets the stage for Garth's story in the next installment, The Wrangler and the Rich Girl.

Faron Whitelaw inherits half of his father’s ranch. Until now, Faron did not know that he was the result of his mother’s affair. When he met his stepmother, who inherited the other half of the ranch, he was surprised to find that she was his age. His attraction to her was irresistible.

Not bad, ceritanya bahkan menurut saya beda banget dari yag sebelumnya pernah saya baca. Soalnya di sini dipairingkan sama ibu tiri. Hehehe....

Hehehehe

magine discovering that your entire life has been a lie? That's how Farron Whitelaw felt when he discovered that the man he had called father really wasn't. Now he's off to Wyoming to meet his step-mother and claim his inheritance. Only Belinda is far from his image of step-mother and he quickly judges the young beauty as a gold digger. Her courage and loyalty to his grandmother quickly shakes that belief. Another great installment to the Hawk's Way series!
