Made the intimidating work of familiarizing myself with the primary sources of the period more manageable. Highly recommend.

I used this source reader for my Second Temple period history class in college - it is a great companion volume for Schiffman's _From Text to Tradition_ as it has so many of the ancient texts included.

Good companion book.
