An Oregon native, Lori Borrill moved to the San Francisco Bay Area just out of high school and has been a transplant Californian ever since. Her weekdays are spent at the insurance company where's she's been employed as a data analyst for over twenty years. The bulk of her evenings are spent at the Little League fields cheering on her son.

Lori started writing in June of 2004 after her husband left his job to pursue his dream of owning a business. Not only did the move help ease their hectic schedules, but he became a solid example that those dreams that seem impossible can often come true. She proved that point herself exactly two years later when Kathryn Lye called to tell her she'd sold to the Harlequin Blaze line.

Lori claims it was the eHarlequin.com community that prompted her to write her first novel. "After reading countless romances, I saw the Web address on a book and decided to check it out," she says. "At the time, I was just looking for writer's guidelines, but the moment I clicked into the Learn To Write forum, I was amazed by the volume of information available to aspiring writers. They really came across like they wanted me to try this." Since then, she's been an active member of the eHarlequin.com community, finding all of her closest writing friends through the site. "What propelled me from novice to published author were the people I've met through the Harlequin boards," she says. "I've made some treasured friendships with talented authors who not only helped me hone the craft, but have become a system of support I can't imagine writing without."

Weirdest cyber sex ever. Trisha just says "yes" a hundred times while her partner damn near writes a novel.

Ini novelnya bagus. Sayang aku hanya menikmati separuh bagian awal saja, karena bagian akhir menuju ending biasa banget cenderung datar bahkan saat aku bacanya skimming, masih bisa mengikuti ceritanya.

Nah, kita bicarakan bagian awalnya dulu yah. Seru. Obrolan Pisces47 dengan Scorpio63 itu panas-panas bikin ngakak. Aku bahkan refleks banting tab waktu si bego Trisha tanpa sengaja membongkar kedoknya (untung bacanya di kamar, jadi tab masih aman 😂).

Jadi intinya sih nih novel mengetengahkan ttg siap berkomitmen apa kagak. Komitmen bagus tapi hrs jelas juga dong tujuannya utk apa. Lagian ini termasuk Harlequin Blaze agak jadul sih, tahun 2007.

Pretty standard romance
3 stars

Experience has taught sexy ad-exec and agency boss, Logan Moore, to be careful when it come to affairs of the heart. That's why his spicy online romance with Scorpio63 is perfect. He gets steamy, anonymous encounters and takes his mind off the secret urge he gets for Trisha every day in the office.

For Trisha, virtual sex with Pisces47 is so sinfully good that it leaves her hungrier for the good, old-fashioned kind with Logan Moore, her unattainable boss. But a chance remark from him makes him wonder whether there's much difference between fantasy and reality.

This is the debut novel by Lori Borrill and while it's interesting and pleasant, it is a little standard and by the book.

There's the main romance between Logan and Trisha which is fine but a little lacking in emotion and sparkle. Neither character felt particularly well drawn out and while I liked them, they were, all in all, forgettable.

Then there was the obligatory secondary romance which bored the socks off me. Trisha's best friend and Logan's best friend battling with their fledging relationship and finding out they're going to be parents was not exciting at all and not something I wanted to read about.

Overall, if you have this book or see it in the library then it's worth a read but it's really nothing special and not one I would take pains to recommend. 3 stars.

An office love story with a twist. Cybersex. It was well done too. The only issues arose when talking about marriage and the right reason to propose. That was too tedious.

Trisha was easy to identify with. She wasn't overly generous and giving, nor was she too prideful. Her reactions mirrored what any woman would do. Logan was cute, but Bill was better. Even as the secondary love story hero, he managed to steal my heart.

A quick read. Nothing serious, no crazy villains (other than the bitch ex-wife), no life-threatening circumstance. Just the normal, healing the soul kind of romance.

Anonymous online hook ups with the real-life boss - great concept! I thoroughly enjoyed this book, especially since I met my husband online. The writing lived up to the book's potential, and the ending was sweet.

Private Confessions by Lori Borrill (Harlequin Blaze #308) is a good secret-identity story. Ad exec Logan Moore has been seriously burned by a workplace romance before so he’s never going down that path again. When his brother gifts him an online chat service, he decides to give it a try.

Trisha Bains needs to get over this consuming crush on her boss so she turns to an online chat service she stumbles across a brochure advertising.

We can see where this might be going, LOL.

Lori Borrill does a good job with Logan and Trisha’s growing attraction and feelings, and how they ultimately handle the fallout from the truth coming out. A solid secondary romance between their BFFs rounds out the story nicely.

The idea that your online fling is actually your crush is fun. But I don't know if I really enjoy this book, quite frankly. It's okay. The story and the ending's pretty sweet. But that's that. And it's surprising, thought a little weird, that Bill and Adie suddenly had their own few chapters towards the end of the book. But, yeah, the ending make it up for it.

2,5 BINTANG..

Ide cerita menarik, tapi eksekusinya nyaris membosankan. Saya saja membacanya banyakan skimming :)

This was a pretty good book. My mind wasn't blown or anything, but it was well-written and entertaining. It begins with an online relationship between Scorpio and Libra. In the real world, they are actually Trisha Bain and Logan Moore, who work together at the Moore Agency, an advertising firm. Logan is Trisha's boss, and they have no idea they've actually been cyber-screwing for months. Of course, because this is a Harlequin romance novel, they've secretly been pining for each other in real life for ages.

I liked how Lori Borrill handled the online relationship in this book. Too many authors try and fail to portray the emotions that come with falling in love online, but Borrill did a wonderful job. I was really impressed.

Overall, this was a good read. Trisha is a likeable, strong and motivated heroine who knows what she wants and is easily relatable. Logan is sexy, and quite the wordsmith. My only issue with him was the occasional bit of dialogue he had. A few times, it made me cringe, just the way he phrased things. That was probably personal taste more than an actual issue with the prose. I found the character motivation in this book very believable, and that contributed to a well-written and realistic novel.

I would probably read this book again. It was a fun read, that resonated with me personally more than most Harlequins do. But then again, I am a giant internet nerd.

This was my first category romance and I was pleasantly surprised.

The premise was original and I liked how the author wove in relevant horoscopes in the beginning of each chapter. There were secondary characters who had their own sideline plot, but it never got in the way. Also, the secondary characters were pretty dimensional, and were the voice of reason in a few scenes, making it less annoying when Trisha and Logan (the main characters) were thinking stupidly.

As far as Trisha and Logan goes, their relationship was pretty much a straightforward HEA. I'll admit, there wasn't too much conflict and the tension between them wasn't super high, but it was still enjoyable and catered to my warm and fuzzy side.

synopsis:
tricia has been having an online relationship with a stranger. she's attracted to her boss, and this is something that can distract her while she pines away. logan is enjoying his no strings online relationship, especially when he fantasizes about tricia. when he says something in passing online that logan echoes in real life, tricia is horrified that she may be having a virtual relationship with her boss.

what i liked: i liked that logan had feelings for tricia before he knew that she was his online date.

what i didn't like: the story wasn't that interesting or well written to me.

3 Stars - An amusing story where Logan got burned too much from his ex-wife. She used marriage to be made partners in his marketing agency then divorced him and took half of his assets. So he fights his attraction to Trisha at work and uses his user id Scorpio to have sex talk and pretend it's her. Meanwhile Trisha has crush ed on Logan for a couple years and uses her online user id Pisces to fantasize about him. Upon discovery it all depends on i Logan trusts her to not want to be partner or take his money. It was good but not great.

HQP romance where the relationship begins through a cybersex forum. Very very hot descriptions of sex in the beginning, which almost overwhelm the rest of the story. The H/h have their own chemistry, but it felt as if too much of their interaction was through those chats and not enough of it was done in person to justify the speed with which they hook up and get to the HEA. The secondary plot wasn’t bad, but it was weirdly placed through the book. Overall, I didn’t think it was a bad story but a bit disjointed.

I really enjoyed this book. The love scenes were steamy hot, the tension was quite palatable, the motivations stayed true. I am already a fan of Ms Borrill's work, and this just solidified my feelings. Her dialog is witty, sharp and fast paced.

It was such a light, but not at all less great, reading. I loved the characters and the easy atmosphere the plot gave me. A great love story which showed the characters' fears and diffidence but in the end love is really worth taking the risk.
