I was attacked by my first story in my early 30's, and it hasn't let me go yet. The more I write the bigger it gets. I am occasionally let out to write other stories, however. For anything like detail I'd suggest checking out my Bio on my website. I didn't write it, though.
One reason I don’t suffer Writer’s Block is that I don’t wait on the muse, I summon it at need. ~Piers Anthony

The other day I was feeling a bit down in the dumps and put out the call to my Twitter friends to cheer me up a bit. I had several responses, all of which helped boost my mood. However, Marc Vun Kannon came to my aid by means of the short eBook Chasing His Own Tale. I am, obviously, doing a review, but with this being a short tale, I will not be going into great detail about the story, because I want our readers to enjoy this little comedy for themselves. (come on, it’s $0.99!…and worth every penny!)
What happens when an author’s Creative Muse, Fearless Hero and Evil Enchantress interrupt the writing process with ideas and agenda’s of their own? Chasing His Own Tale is a comedy that provides us with the answer. This farce created by our very own Author Guy, Marc Vun Kannon is a fun and hilarious ride into the mind of an author in the midst of a work in progress. I always figured that a writer would get wrapped up in their characters as they are writing and Chasing His Own Tale showed me I was correct in my assumption.
His Muse is on strike... His Hero hates his lines... His Villain has sworn revenge... The Editors are in revolt... What's an Author to do?
For only 99 little copper pennies, a weary author can take a break from wrestling with their own characters and watch in amusement as another author grapples with his. It should come as no surprise to anyone who's created original characters only to watch in helpless dismay as they proceed to do whatever it is they want to do. Ahem. I'm looking at you, Constance. And Daphne too, you're just as bad.
This is a short read, but within these 33 pages, Marc Vun Kannon manages to regale us with an epic adventure and more wordsmithery than many books thrice its size.
If you enjoy the fun, there's a sequel! Struck by Inspiration (Chasing His Own Tale Book 2). It's also just 99 cents.
