Interesting book if you want an introduction to drawing backgrounds. Only 3 start because the layout of the book itself was....definitly a choice. You are introduced to the this book with black text over black and white drawings (This absolutly can't be anything but a meta-joke there is just no way ? But also ? Why the intro ? At least admit it's a joke and move on cuz I nearly put the book back from my library’s shelf) the rest of the pages are better but still very...minimalist (?). Some parts of the exemples given were not explained I had to "discover" by myself that the floor not being completly straight does some freak stuff to the perspective which are not explained in the book.
I rarely see how the price of a book is relevant for a review but in this case...It's just too much and not worth it. The book good but not as good as to explain every price I have found. Try to find it at your nearest library, if not still try to look for anybooks that are similar to this one. This book is not irreplaceable.
self published with shockingly bad layout for a book about layouts! from the last generation of cel animation, but so many books had already done it better, easy to pass this one up
