Dr. Monica Teague finds out that she partly alien after a demonstration of Garathani’s mating activities. Garathani live in a planet far far away from earth and after they have lost almost all their females from a virus, they have become sexually starved.
Human girls seem to be competitive to their strange anatomy, but of course Garathani males prefer Garathani females or at least partly Garathani females if they can find them.
Monica is straight away claimed by two of them before she even realises what is going on and before she completes her transition after she smells all these alien pheromones and becomes hungry and drunk. Kellen and Shauss will become responsible for her and teach her the way of Garathani.
Although the book has a happy ending; the story of Monica, Kellen and Shauss will conclude in the next book “Enemy overnight".
If I should describe this book and this series in general with one phrase, I would call it “Sci-fi, naughty erotica". But it also has so many sweet scenes, funny scenes and it is full of true love (with a kinky twist)
And above all these, Monica Teague, I offer you my love, which will not fade even after we are but vague memories of our children’s children’s children.
I would also like to add that both male and female Garathani have strange body anatomy. I think that if you love “Clans of Kalquor" series and “Interstellar Service & Discipline” series, you will also love this one.

Ok. I actually liked this. Quite a bit. Very camp, very tongue in cheek. While the dialogue wanted to make me headdesk on occasion (yes, I'm talking about that "alien invasion" part), I just couldn't take the book seriously enough to make me hate it. I'd prefer to give it 3.5 stars, but since that isn't an option, I'm going to bump it up to 4, simply for keeping me entertained.
So. What happens when an alien race of really tall, really hot guys lose almost their entire female population to biological warfare? Why, they hit up the planet they've been studying for almost 100 years! Especially since they already know (through "experimentation", ahem) that they can copulate with the women here (they apparently have a "spur" or secondary penis that fits perfectly into an Earth gal's rear door). Oh, and since the men can NOT get off unless they're inside a woman, the entire planet has had a serious case of blue balls for the past decade. Harsh. And their society viewed the men as second class citizens and the women could easily refuse the men any relief. So no oral sex for the dudes and some of them have had blue balls even longer than the years following the mass murder of their women. Double harsh.
So these seriously hard up guys hightail it to Terra and introduce themselves to the world at large. But guess what? There's already a hybrid alien/human offspring on board, she just didn't know it. So when she starts reacting to all the pheromones the alien dudes put off, she finally "matures" and the Commander of the fleet claims her for his mate and makes his second in command her secondary mate. Uh...kay. After she goes through a highly accelerated maturation (like, within a week her entire body and face change), the claiming can commence!
There was of course some drama about the primary and secondary mates having trouble sharing, our hybrid heroine trying to come to terms with her new situation, a seditious sub-faction of the alien race that didn't want to have to compete with Earth men apparently. And lots of sex. And spanking, domination games, etc. They were pretty hot at times too, but mostly...campy. That's really all I can say about it. The grammar was good, no spelling mistakes that jumped out at me, no multiple personality disorders, no foreshadowing plot points that kept trying to jump out of the book and strangle me.
If you're in the mood for some fun alien action with a foul mouthed, insecure but strong heroine and a lovely HEA, definitely give this a try.

I didn't hate this book, but I didn't really begin enjoying it until about 81% through it. It didn't begin as a "bride capture" book - but once Monica is transformed into an alien female, she is given no choices or options - which works for me if the men doing the claiming really make her feel good and cherished....which these two jerks definitely do not do. (Until after 81% of the book)
PLOT:
The story begins with a room full of human doctors and Garathani soldiers watching a Garathani soldier have sex with an older human volunteer. As the two are having sex, there is a human doctor giving the room a play-by-play for the benefit of the human doctors to learn about the Garathani mating spur and how it works. During the "session" everyone in the room is getting aroused, and when the Garathani's get aroused, they give off a pheromone that makes the females of their species drunk.
Monica is a "goth" doctor in the audience watching the "session" and suddenly begins to feel and act inebriated. Commander Kellen notices & immediately makes the connection that Monica is a rare hybrid. He mentally connects to the ships computer and file's a petition to claim her as his mate. Annnnd since Garathani's have so few women, they must have multiple men per female, so Kellen mentally contacts Lieutenant Shauss and has him be the second Garathani in the mate claim he files. Meanwhile, Monica is not even aware of her status as a hybrid, but the concentrated exposure to so much of the male pheromone has triggered the start of her maturation into an adult Garathani.
When this begins, Kellen and Shauss are aware the process will be painful and possibly deadly for Monica - but although they have both claimed her as a mate...they don't really seem to care about her.
So over the next few weeks, Monica's change wreaks havoc on her body. Kellen has her assigned to his office without her consent so he can monitor her. He also has guards watching her constantly, which aggravates Monica.
Her body changes are like going through years of puberty in a few weeks.
She begins loosing her "baby" teeth, her legs hurt her so badly because she is growing taller. She has headaches constantly.
Monica confronts Kellen over several things. The Garathani have been kidnapping and experimenting on human women for decades. Monica is living evidence of that. When Monica confront Kellen for having to 'personally observe' every OB exam she gives the human women who have volunteered to be reproductive partners with the Garathani - she gets so upset that she begins to hemorrhage vaginally. Kellen has her 'beamed' to the Garathani ship in orbit above Earth, put into a medical coma until she heals enough to breed with him and Shauss.
When Monica wakes from her 10 day coma, she suddenly has D cup boobs & pubic hair. Oh, and they've surgically removed her hymen.
At this point, both Kellen & Shauss pull the "dominant unfeeling alpha male" crap. Monica is bullied, forced, tied up, restrained, spanked and generally discounted as any kind of adult. You learn about Monica's less than ideal youth in the foster system and in a home for girls when her Grandparents gave her up for adoption. Monica's father just happens to be on the Garathani ship and the guys tell her about it. He is the head honcho on this expedition - Minister Cecine.
Some mild action when Monica is kidnapped by the Garathani ambassador. He plans to rape her and force himself in as one of her "mates". Kellen & Shauss rescue her and somehow - everything they did before then is forgiven and she loves them.
After the rescue, Monica gives Shauss a hummer and sticks a finger up his ass. This causes him to come in her mouth, which they thought they were incapable of doing. Shauss feels emasculated & embarrassed even though he was planning on his first sex with his new mate being in her ass as well. So in a fit of 'stupid male ego' he severs his 'mate' status with Kellen and Monica. Kellen callously complains about how breaking in a new "second" won't be fun.
This is the 80% mark
Monica is having a crying breakdown when her "father" comes upon her. She tells him her men are hurting her. Father severs their mate bond, sends her back to the command center on earth back to her life and friends. He also forbids Kellen and Shauss from going near her. Which of course makes Kellen realize he loves her and hasn't been treating her right.
A series of terrorist events occurs on Earth that is made to look like the Garathani's have attacked Earth - which has Kellen snatching up Monica back to the Garathani ship in orbit before the dust clears.
In the end, Kellen makes a very public show of humility to Monica and tells her in a beautiful way how much she means to him and how he realizes he was an ass, promises never to treat her that way again etc... It was sweet.
Shauss rejoins them, but still feels very insecure about his place and if he is loved....so he's just going to screw Monica in the ass to make sure he doesn't give her any babies.
HEA.
(The last 20% gave me warm fuzzies....but I still wouldn't really recommend the book. The dominant guy telling the tied up girl "You will ask me nicely for my cock" BDSM wasn't really my cup of tea. Monica actually only receives oral sex once, from Shauss - even tho Kellen talks about doing it a lot. The mating spur and her clitoral shaft just kind of skeeved me out. It wasn't erotic to me.)

I gave this one 4 stars for several different reasons.
First, I like SFR. Good SFR is hard to come by and this one was pretty good. It wasn't perfect but it was much better than most offerings I've found in eformat. A lot of thought went into the plot and all the elements worked together and made sense and actually pertained to the plot. It also pulls an extra star just for being more than 80 pages long. It was a complete story with plenty of time and effort put in to really developing the culture and actions of the alien race. A lot of time was spent developing the romance between the three main characters. There wasn't a lot of time devoted to the alien/space tech but this story really didn't need it.
The menage aspect was treated in a realistic manner. In that it was not a perfect fit and just the gosh darndest best thing any of the three had ever experienced. They were forced into it because of the lack of women on the Garathan world after a bio weapon killed them off. The men were forced into multiple marriages by law so that more men would have an opportunity to have a mate. But Shauss, the second male, was too alpha to really fit well and it bothered him that Monica really loved Kellen best. He was only persuaded to stay in the relationship with the understanding that when he found someone who would love him best, he was free to go. And Kellen was very jealous of Monica with Shauss but put up with it because of the law and because Shauss was his best friend and he didn't want him to have to do without. Also for those like me who don't like M/M action, these guys were totally hetero and had no interest in each other.
The plot was well done and left room for more books to explain what was going on with the bio weapon and who was behind that whole thing. One really interesting aspect was that the Garathan society had been matriarchal until the bio weapon had killed off most of the women and the men had been very subjugated including sexually and they were determined not to go back to that way of life with the new women they were getting from Earth.
While I don't normally like made up new holes in the female anatomy here at least it made sense and had a tie in to the plot of the story in that the alien men were physically unable to come if they didn't have a hole above the vagina to lock into. If that sort of stuff squeeks you out, you might want to stay away from this book.
Monica's transformation into an alien sexpot also made sense. Unknown to anyone previously, she was a human alien hybrid and had not been subjected to the right alien male hormones to inspire her maturation. So it wasn't just some out of the blue thing but was a well thought out part of the plot. And it wasn't a poofta easy transformation either but took time and had physical consequences.
One thing that I didn't really like was how dominant the two men were in their actions towards Monica. I guess for two reasons. One, I wasn't reading a BDSM book. When I go that route I've already agreed to buy in to the female being dominated by the male thing and so I mentally have no complaints. Here though that was not the case and I felt like they were treating her like a dumb little woman when she hadn't agreed to be treated that way. So I felt a bit during the middle of the book like they were disrespecting her. That totally pushes my buttons in real life and I don't like it in a romance either. Why it bothers me in one case and not the other I don't know, just does I guess.

This book is so riding a fine line between really really naughty erotica, and sometime so sweet you just can't help but fall in love with all the characters.
So, as you can tell, I'm totally in a sci-fi binge at the moment. I can't seem to get enough. Aliens with 'extra' appendages--come to mama!
I have to say, the world building wasn't quite as up to par as I would like it to be. I get the impression we are on Earth, they are in Montana, yet, they don't call earth women, earth women, and we don't call it 'earth'.
You have this awesome big hunky aliens that when they get the hump on, an extra 'spur' comes out. Now women of their race, instead of a clitoris, they have an extra little 'nook'. For that to go and it has the same effect as a clitoris.
Well, enter the fact most of the Garathan's female are gone, and they have come to earth to 'recruit' the women most able to carry their young and get knocked up. It is sort of a far fetched storyline, but I bought it, I think because I wanted to buy it lol.
Now, we have Monica. She is suffering from a condition where she never hit puberty. She's totally underdeveloped and doesn't even get aroused. She's overseeing a 'presentation' on Garathan mating habits when she suddenly gets 'hi'. Turns out she's really a hybrid Garathan and is finally going into puberty.
Then it all gets kind of crazy because as you can imagine, like most alien hunks, Garathan's are the chest bounding kind. OH! And they dig BDSM--well more S&m lol This sort of cranked my appeal of this up. Quickly, before she even knows whats happening to her Kellen claims her and Shauss. They have to claim in groups of three.
Thus begins a crazy wild journey that actually raised my hackles quite often. I had issues because Kellen is unbending where Shauss is a bit more understanding. These dudes can render you totally helpless in seconds. No need for ties, one command and thunk. Down for the count, and all at their mercy. Also, they can make you unable to speak the same way.

I didn't dislike this story. Mostly because once Monica grew into her full alien hotness, she was quite bratty, and I love books that tame the brat. I HATE bratty subs that are bratty when they know its just BS for them to be doing it.
I feel like this is more erotica than romance because Kellen doesn't like to listen and that made me upset a lot of the time. Although, Monica, from what I can tell is a OBGYN. Nothing is really clearly written in this world and that was the hard part of this story.

Thus begins a crazy wild journey that actually raised my hackles quite often. I had issues because Kellen is unbending where Shauss is a bit more understanding. These dudes can render you totally helpless in seconds. No need for ties, one command and thunk. Down for the count, and all at their mercy. Also, they can make you unable to speak the same way.

I didn't dislike this story. Mostly because once Monica grew into her full alien hotness, she was quite bratty, and I love books that tame the brat. I HATE bratty subs that are bratty when they know its just BS for them to be doing it.
I feel like this is more erotica than romance because Kellen doesn't like to listen and that made me upset a lot of the time. Although, Monica, from what I can tell is a OBGYN. Nothing is really clearly written in this world and that was the hard part of this story.

When most of the females from Kellen's planet die from a virus, they look to Earth for compatible females. One of the doctors at the center where the women who volunteered is so androgynous that she's never had a male be interested in her. Monica also has some genital abnormalities. When the Garathani are giving a demonstration of their mating activities, their pheromones would have made an female alien drunk. That's how Monica finds out she's part alien. Kellen and Shauss see her reaction and claim her before they've even spoken a word to her. Now the guys have to try to convince her that she means more to them than just an object.
This could have been handled with that hurt feelings but never saying aloud how you feel BS that a lot of romance books have but it wasn't. I loved how they would try to figure stuff out right away. Well at least Monica did, the guys were loving that they had the power and I felt were a little drunk on it because when there were a lot of women, it was the men that were subjugated. Good book. I'm planning on reading book #2 right now!

I'm not going to lie here, the urge to find out about Kellen's "special anatomical needs" was the driving force behind me reading this. Well, that and I love sexy sci-fi. The fact that this book contained both special anatomical needs and aliens is like THE BEST THING EVER!
What are these special anatomical needs? you ask. Oh, I'd be thrilled to tell you. You see, a male Garathani cannot achieve release unless his breeding spur is also stimulated. The breeding spur is a protuberance along the top of his boy bits that extends when the male is aroused. So, basically, he can give his lady a little double penetration action ALL BY HIMSELF! Hee! So this book was pretty much one of those books that totally hit the spot (heh) when I picked it up. It has the nicely naughty parts AND a storyline. And a breeding spur. SCORE!
Although there was a thing or two that made me all wide eyed and squirrely (Kellen ordering his second to rape a woman to extract vital information - even though he was only using it as a threat because he knew that his second wouldn't go through with it), overall the book was excellent. Monica's physical and sexual developmental delays had made her feel like an outcast her entire life - and for once I didn't cringe at the virginal heroine since she had a valid medical reason for being that way. Kellen's reactions to Monica and the way he treated her held true with the way he'd been treated in the past and I like that he made mistakes with her. Since kissing was not something his planet engaged in for the most part, he didn't realize that he was hurting her by not kissing her. It was nice to see a hero who didn't know everything and yet managed to woo his lady despite this.
Special anatomical needs aside, this was a very fun book with a well built world and engaging characters. I'm glad Shauss has a chance to find a happy ever after in the next book (although I predict it will be a wonderfully bumpy ride) because he deserves a HEA if any double-penetrating alien does. Although, that will throw this book's menage into the wringer. HOW WILL THINGS WORK OUT IN THE END??? I just don't know!

This was a mixed bag for me. On the positive side, I enjoyed it, and look forward to reading the next book in the series, Enemy Overnight. Unfortunately, I was also ripped out of the story several times due to what I'll call, "excessive sci/fi world building".
There were several events in the story that left me confused and trying to figure out what had happened. Either there wasn't enough explanation, or there was too much reliance on alien technology lingo. But, ultimately, it disturbed the story flow rather than enhancing it in my opinion. At times, it veered into "cheesy first Star Trek series" territory, which caused eye rolling and snorting on my part.
The ending was satisfying as far as the central relationship is concerned. There was enough growth and compromise by both protagonists for me to buy into their HEA. Hopefully, the next book will answer some of the questions left by the other story lines.

This is the first time I've read a book by the author and though I was impressed with the cheeky premise, I'm disappointed I couldn't rate it higher. Where to start? Usually I don't mind stories with dubious consent, but for me, this was really pushing it. There were aspects of the story which made me want to hurl my kindle across the room, but there was something redeeming about the storytelling that helpedme plod through to the end. Individually the characters are engaging but the heroine tipped the scale from being fiesty to a screeching banshee. I dunno, for a doctor, I expected more... It was as though her career was a loose plot device to get her into the alien compound because other than wrapping one bloody gash, she could've been a tax accountant or fish monger for all I knew. Commander Kellen... hot damn. Enuf said. As for Shauss, in my opinion, he was just wrong for the whole setup. Hopefully he has a redeemng HEA in the following book.

This was my first book by this author and normally humor infused romance would have me rolling my eyes. Thankfully this author did not make the heroine into a spoiled brat when she had her fits. It endured you to her and because of the outrageous situation she quickly had to adapt.
The story revolves around a m/f/m alien pairing. I liked the story and setting because there was some imagery I had not yet read about in other stories.
Overall the characters, story and love scenes came together to create an out of this world, laugh out loud and blush, experience.
I look forward to hearing more from this author.

Disconnected storyline. No notice of essential bondage, dom/sub elements. Women are definitely subjugated in this story. I almost didn't finish it, but wanted to like it. It was impossible. So the men feel "bad" about forcibly raping, forced seduction, and the like? BFD. Its a deal breaker. This is not simple meneage, but includes mild elements of BDSM, forced seduction, rape, bondage and lack of choice for women. It made me angry rather than being a fun read.

Barbarian Aliens mating with the women of earth? I guess its true- earth girls ARE easy.
Actually I did enjoy this little romp about a girl, seemingly totally human, turning into something definitely “other” when she meets the man- or I should say men- destined to change her…literally. Very smuttie- but combined with the heroine’s transformation along with the aliens previous experience with a matriarchal society, the story actually ends up being kinda romantic as well.
Graded as kindlesmut- 4 out of 5, as fiction? deh, maybe a 3.

I can't even with this book, I'm a little more than halfway (maybe like 60-70% done) and I just don't want to finish it... it is a testament to my patience that I was able to make it this far. It started out okay and I was enjoying it until the main character got "together", then it just got worst and worst.
I am new to this author and the beginning of the book gave me hope but by the middle, I just really disliked almost everything. I don't know if I will read any more of her books.

First read for me by this author, and overall this was a fun read. Alien males from another planet have come to earth to recruit human females for their world. The sex starved males are desperate.
Doctor Monica Teague is in charge of inducting the human female volunteers. She herself is an odd woman she's not very feminine with a boyish figure and even though she's 32 she still has her childhood milk teeth. What she doesn't realise is that she has a different genetic background. When a sudden change in her physiology occurs almost overnight she's totally transformed into a female that has the 7' alien males panting to get their hands on her. Commander Kellen and deputy Shauss lay claim to her

This was a pretty good sci-fi erotic romance. The beginning was a little confusing and the anatomy was a bit strange, but once I got about 1/4 way through, I really enjoyed it. There were moments that I laughed out loud and that is rare for me in a book. I hope Rotham plans to write a sequel.

Finding out she’s actually part alien leads to a whole mindfield of emotions that Monica isn’t prepared for. And then comes the boinkfest... I have to say.. I really didn’t like some of the attitudes during these sessions.. however I knew that it would lead to a big emotional reveal later on in the book....and it did to a semi satisfactory leve...however coupled with the excuse that the aliens had previously been used abismally by their women was not an excuse I could get on board with. ‘I’m a Dom asshole because my dead wife was to me’ just didn’t and doesn’t fly for me. That with threatening to rape someone to get knowledge ( even if the threat was only a threat ) did not make me a happy bunny either...I was really torn with continuing to red after that point.
The story was interesting and I loved the concept of exposure to pheromones triggering a alien puberty.. I just wanted more loving romance from this book...the little that was added near the end wasn’t enough by my standards and the unexplained sci fi lingo just baffled me at times and was jilting to my reading flow. And sucking off you partner infront if your dad and other alien council members was a total WTF moment for me too! Which again pushed my pretty ‘anything goes ‘ reading limits.
I’m going to read the second book because I want to know what happens with schauss and jasmine.

This book is along the lines of Evangeline Anderson's Brides of the Kindreds series.
Basic premise is that an alien race comes to earth in search of females that are viable mates after a virus decimates their female population. Their society had been prior to the virus, matriarchal, so they're also getting accustomed to being a patriarchal society now, and the males still harbor some resentment over their previous treatment. Oh, and since females are now rare for them... they share. So there's a minimum of 2 males per one female, with the option to add a third. Sounds hot, but unless your slots are filled, literally, ANY MALE CAN LEGALLY CLAIM YOU. Whether you want him to or not. Talk about scary.
So now there's a compound in Montana where doctors who've volunteered are helping to prep the women who've volunteered to go back to their home planet and bare their children. Some of the doctors will be going along for the ride. One such doctors is Monica Teague, who's practically androgynous at the begining of the book. Her body had never undergone puberty so she's got the body of a 12 year old boy and a uterus that's entirely useless, not to mention her genitalia's deformed. At least by human standards. The aliens clue on to what's up with Monica pretty quickly when she reacts to the scent of their pheromones during a sexual demonstration (for academic purposes, so they can better help prepare the women for what's in store for them-the guys have 2 dicks, YUM~!) and immediately Commander Kellen stakes a claim and makes his best friend, Shauss, his second. All while poor Monica's still drunk on pheromones and has no idea what's going on.
It's a pretty interesting concept with hot sex thrown in as well as culture clash, some very light D/s, trying to balance a three way relationship without hurting anyone and not stunting emotional growth, and trying to not piss off the earthlings.

Alien Overnight by Robin Rotham.
This book looked so weird I just couldn't resist. The book blurb says the heroine is "quirky"....what they should have said was foul-mouthed, rude, irritating and totally unlikable. Frankly, I couldn't understand why the horny alien dudes were so hot to trot with Dr. Teague. They liked her "spunky" attitude....I thought she was horrible. However, the two horny alien dudes were hot alpha guys, with a little bit "extra" (bizarre alien anatomical appendage....and I'll let your imagination run wild with that one). This book had some good points....pretty well-written, interesting alien plot (I really like the premise of an alien planet desperate for females....it's a great concept for a sci fi erotica!), and 2 hunky heroes. Unfortunately, I couldn't stand the heroine. I laughed out loud when they mentioned the "alien love-child"....hee hee! If you're looking for a spicy sci-fi menage story, and you don't mind foul-mouthed, rude heroines, this is a fun read. If bitchy chicks piss you off, skip it.

I am a little undecided about this one? The plot while interesting is one that I have read recently in another sci-fi romance, and quite frankly, was developed much better. Still, the sex scenes were hot enough , if not a little too S&M and kinky (I didn't realize aliens were into that scene too? But why not?) There was just a big something missing in the emotionality department throughout the entire story. Even though the two main heroes were supposed to be undetached and unaffected when it came to expressing emotions, the few times when they were supposed to, they still couldn't pull it off, at least not well enough to convince the reader and produce some empathy. The same can be said for the heroine, but she was even worse because she was supposed to be much more emotional. Funny though, she could definitely pull off anger and "smartassness." Ditto for the heroes. I did really enjoy her quick comebacks and nasty wit though. I think I will give this author the benefit of the doubt and try another story. Maybe this was just a warm-up?

Okay, this book was FUN. For the record, behold that day-glo cover. It pretty much tells you what you are getting in this book. OUTER SPACE. MAN TITTEH. THAT'S ABOUT IT, YO.
So this is one of those stories where the heroine transforms overnight (hence the title) into a gorgeous, busty woman perfect for the hero. I am down with this sort of storyline, mind you (see my first book, dur). What kept throwing me off was the hero and the heroine were totes in love, but because of the alien society, they had to have a second hero in their partnership. I was like WAIT WAIT BACK THE FUCK UP then I was all, welp, that's all right then. Cause Shauss was kinda hot. But he only got to do her in the SPOILER if you know what I mean.
(ten bucks says this review makes no sense to anyone except people that read the book)

I think this book is worth one star. However, since it is grammatically alright, in good conscience, i can not rate it thusly.
This story idolizes the objectfication and subservience of women and our supposedly enjoyment of it forced upon us. This type of reprehensible storytelling negatively influences the mindset of members of our society and leads to subjugaton of women.
Now, I know there are women who appreciate the type of behavior. However, I disagree with it being presented in a manner where the male forces it upon the female, and the female happily accepts it after a bit of struggle.
Thus this novel is worth one star due to the damage it does on our pysche.

Isn't Monica surprised when, at a conference she suddenly feels differently, and two hunky aliens are paying a whole lot more attention to her. And her body that's always been a disappointment to her suddenly begins changing.
I liked the humor in it and although the males are in the driver's seat (so to speak), I think they're going to find out they're going to have difficulty keeping the women in the place (sarcasm).
Even though there's a shortage of women so two men pair up with one woman, the males don't play with each other :( (something about not getting satisfaction except with the female). Boo!
I plan to continue the series.

Ugh, well this was disappointing.
The sub/dom thing going on was more like watching a couple of bumbling teenagers with self-confidence issues try to control each other. I absolutely hated it. And it doesn't even end in a menage? Weirdness and campy humor and raunch all rolled into one. This one's a mixed bag, but worth the read. Parts of this book reminded me of the movie "Mars Attacks", with its outlandish alien attacks and human response. There was the whole comic book, She-Hulk element when our heroine Monica, who starts as a Dr. Gothchild, morphs into an alien sex-goddess. Wait, was that "Attack of the 50-Ft Woman?" And then, of course, there was the weird alien genitalia, featuring spurs and spur nooks. Very cow-boy!

This is VERY steamy, two alien Heroes, and the h thinks she's a deformed human but is really a hybrid. I loved it but there were too many plot devices. The h goes through a massive transition due to the Heroes exposing her to their alien pheromones. The h's friends act like teenagers, there's a bad guy, and she meets her alien father. Felt like the writer threw in everything including the kitchen sink. It was a great start, with really cool scifi tech and their weird culture, but I was very disappointed with the menage - very weak and didn't align to the alien culture.

This book was good once I figured out all the terminology.
I liked Monica a lot. She was a fighter but she also had such a tender side. All she really wanted was to be loved.
Picking up the next book. If Sci-Fi is your thing, this is a good book to read. If not, it's still a good book.

Read this years ago so remember the general storyline but not much else. Probably was like most of my other RR reads—enjoyable enough but nothing warranting a "wow" or "OMG".
