Delicate Miracles: The Spiritual Pathway of the Poet

Rate this book
Dan's curiosity as a poet takes him to the ends of the universe in search of rare moments of clarity. In the end, the exercise of writing itself creates its own reality. In poem after poem, he confronts a glimmering mirror filled with fear and hope. He writes, "We can never let a metaphor fall alone because, if we did, the metaphor would pull us all down. If the poet wishes to bear in his body the tragedy of mankind, he must elevate mankind's spirit. After all, our brief lives are at best momentary insights into something Eternal". In April of 2008, he published his first novel entitled "Faces". Filled with fictional memoir, this spiritual novel attracted a wide ranging audience of thoughtful readers. Encouraged by this response, he pulled together some of his favorite poems and published "Delicate Miracles", this collection of songs, triplets, and narratives which he hopes will inspire and enrich the lives of his readers. As the artist Caitlin OCeallaigh-Walker wrote, "Those who read Dan's . . . novel will have noticed poetic passages in it that reveal the author's first calling. He is at heart a poet. This book fully proves it".
