Filled with indispensable instructions on how to skip a rock, bait a hook, whistle through a blade of glass, tell a joke and dozens more. How To Dad is a giant, clearly illustrated guide to everything a self-respecting dad should know how to do.
I know I'm not the intended audience, but my husband got this book as a gift and it was laying around. Besides which, you never know when a mom might need to tie a tie ... or build a snowman ... or start a campfire ...
This is a fun book to read. It is laugh-out-loud funny and does contain some very good ideas. The chapters are short (2-3 pages including pictures), thereby making the book easy to read in little snitches here and there. I even learned some random things!
It makes an excellent gift for any new parent. It's got all the important stuff in it, like how to skip a rock, stop a bloody nose, make a cootie catcher, and all sorts of other critical knowledge which dads (or moms) should pass on. You probably know half of this stuff, but the other half is where you can use this guide. Personally, I refer to this book about once a year when I need to remember how to tie a tie.
