Asimov used Paul French, the pen name, for the Lucky Starr, series of juvenile novels.
Most books of Asimov in a historical way go as far back to a time with possible question or concept at its simplest stage. He often provides and mentions well nationalities, birth, and death dates for persons and etymologies and pronunciation guides for technical terms. Guide to Science, the tripartite set Understanding Physics, and Chronology of Science and Discovery exemplify these books.
Asimov, a long-time member, reluctantly served as vice president of Mensa international and described some members of that organization as "brain-proud and aggressive about their IQs." He took more pleasure as president of the humanist association. The asteroid 5020 Asimov, the magazine Asimov's Science Fiction, an elementary school in Brooklyn in New York, and two different awards honor his name.

Aralarında Robot Serisinin karakterlerinin de geçtiği kısa hikayelerden oluşan güzel bir kitap.

Uzay yolculuklari ve yapay zeka teknolojisinin yolaçabileceği çetrefilli sorunlar ve bunlara karşılik dahi yazarımizin çözümleri 11 kısa öykü içinde keyifli keyifli anlatilmıs. Hep söylüyorum Asimov kitapları lise müfredatında olmali. Keşke o yıllarda okumuş olsaydım. Matematik, fizik, kimya derslerine daha bir ilgi duyardim.

Mantıksal problemler ve çözümleriyle dolu, birkaç küçük ileri çağ bilim kurgu hikayesi. Güzel zaman geçirmek için ideal.

Kurgusu çok iyimser geldi. Bana kalırsa ileride bu kadar ahlaklı uygarlıklar koloniler olacağını zannetmiyorum.

Asimov'un ilk dönem kısa hikayelerinin bulunduğu bir derleme. Bilimkurgunun en büyük yazarlarından biri olan Asimov'un Türkiye'de Melezler Venüs'te adıyla çıkan kitabında yazarın sonraki büyük eserlerinde ele aldığı olayların bazı temelleri de atılıyor.
Ben Robot kitabında okuduğumuz Susan Calvin'in emeklilik günlerine bu kitapta ilginç bir hikayeyle görüyoruz. Aynı şekilde Robot serisinin baş kahramanları R. Daneel Olivaw ve Elijah Baley'e ait olan bir kısa öykü bulunuyor. Asimov'un bu kitapta yer alan iki öyküsünde yer verdiği, "Sorulan soruları yanıtlayan evrensel sistem" bire bir günümüz Google arama motorunu anımsatıyor.
Ben Asimov'un 1950'lerde yazdığı kurgulardaki atmosferi ve hissettirdiği nostalji hissinin de çok kuvvetli olduğunu düşünüyorum.

Sahafta Asimov’un adını kapakta görüp hiç düşünmeden aldığım bir kitaptı.
Özellikle uzaydan işlenen suçlarla (yapak zeka, robot, uzay yolculukları) ilgili olan hikayeler çok iyi kurgulanmış. 10-15 sayfalık bir metinden bunlardan daha fazla haz almak ne denli mümkün olabilir bilmiyorum. Ayrıca öykülerin birbirlerinin hikayelerine dair aralarda geçen kısımları, okuyucuya aynı evrende geçen olayları birbirleriyle bağdaşlaştırmaya sürüklüyor.

Çok rahat okunan, güzel bir öykü seçkisi olmuş. Kitabın sonundaki "Gerçek Aşk" isimli hikayeyi çok beğendim.
