I thought I loved Khalil, but Tyreek! Baby, he is top tier! The care, patience and adoration he has for Janae is something special! He is feeling her, but she is hesitant, due to part trauma. However, he still caters to her, and is supportive although he feels she is pushing him away! Miss Janae! She knew she had a gem in Tyreek, but grief, pain and self doubt held her back from the he happiness she knew she deserved! The pre wedding trip with the gang, allowed Janae and Tyreek to spend time together, where their true feelings began to show. Now here comes the ish! I knew Ahmad would not take Tyreek’s retirement well, but damn! That man was just trash! The way he treated Piper, as well as his manipulative ways! 🤬 Just when things were blossoming for the new relationship of Janae and Tyreek, Ahmad attempted to derail it all, with his selfishness! 🤡. So glad that Tyreek was able to get out of that mess, with Piper’s help. Now Piper! What are we going to do with you? You should have known your dad wasn’t ish! 😡. I would love to know more about Nathan and Piper! Will Ahmad finally do right by his daughter and let her be happy? Hmmmm… Enjoying this series, and looking forward to Antonne’s story. 👍👍👍

I've been looking forward to Janae's story since the beginning of the series unfortunately, this story ended up being one that I liked but didn't fall in love with.
Tyreek wants what his brother and the rest of the men in his crew has. He's ready to settle down and start a family. He has had his sight set on Janae for a while. They've attempted to date but Janae is keeping him at arm's length. Using her job as an nurse as an excuse and consisently cancels date after date with Tyreek.
When the group spends a week in Vegas to celebrate Kahlil and Honey's upcoming wedding, Janae realizes that Tyreek is the one. However, Janae is dealing with something heavy and decides to put in the work to heal herself before moving forward with Tyreek. When the two finally get on the same page, loose ends from Tyreek's past threatens to pull them apart.

Need more Tyreek and Janae
Let's just start with the fact that Ahmad is so grimy. The things he put his daughter through just to get more coins are despicable. Now that's out of the way, I absolutely love Tyreek. Even with his sordid professional past Tyreek is truly a stand up guy. I love him and his brother Khalil. Their brotherhood and the way they love and look out for each other are both commendable and beautiful to behold. Hate that Janae's tragic past almost cost her the love of her life. Tyreek's gentleness, loyalty and faith made me love him even more. I always love how the author weaves in spiritual elements to the story because it makes the story more genuine and authentic. I want more of Tyreek and Janae hoping to see them again in Antonne's story. I would like to read more about Nathan and Piper.

When your past tries to interfere with your present. But, GOD!!!!!!
Honey and Khalil had their wedding!!! And they had a time honey! lol Seeing Janae come out of her shell, after working herself almost to a point of burn out. Sis, shocked the hell outta me! FREAKY ASS LUH GUH! lol She had ME and Tyreek shook!
I love how this series follows each and every "Mister" so smoothly. And its not just a sneak peek baby, we get all the juicy details and updates. It's always my favorite thing catching up with what everyone is up to, who got married, had kids all the things. I am in LOVE with how the men take to their niece/Khalil and Honey's babygirl Kayla. She loved her some Uncle Reek! Him baby talking her had me blushing. I'm hoping we get to see him and Janae as parents soon.
Janae founds out the man that she almost let get away has a past. He was whole henchman back in the day. And when he tries to call it quits with one of his "Acquaintances" in the game. (his ex gfs dad) Ahmed stops at nothing to try and put Tyreek, and his brother Khalil in a bad situation. Luckily, with the help of his former ex gf Piper (Whom we also get a POV from in this book, and WOW not her daddy pimpin' her out and getting mad when she wanted to leave and live a normal life). Tyreek and Piper come up with a plan to not only save Khalil from doing life in jail, but also helping Janae get her new bae out of the cell for something her evil ass dad did.
Speaking of Janae, sis finally comes forth with why she could not give Tyreek a relationship in the beginning. While at first glance it just seemed like sis was chasing a bag. She was actually trying to numb the pain from a past relationship that hurt her and caused her to lose something so precious. Once Janae realized that being "fully healed" was not really a thing. And in order for her to truly heal. Instead of running from the things that scared her, she had to face them head on. Including the love she had for Tyreek. Sis finally surrenders her love and everything she needs to for healing purposes, and in that she see's just how easy it was all along to love Tyreek. Even when she was at her lowest. All sis had to do was FEEL and take a break from working herself into overdrive to cope.
Tyreek, Tyreek, Tyreek.... mmm.. mmm. mm.... Whew, LAWD! I too would've been on all fours immediately every night. That is a MAN honey. A patient, kind, attentive, loving, GOD fearing man. He for sure goes down in the book as yet another one of my favorite book boyfriends. Everything about him screamed HUSBAND.
This series is hands down one of my favorites. Once I finish one, I'm already on to the next. I literally have not once given this series a break. I have flown through this. I can not get enough! lol I'm excited to get a quick follow up on the crew in what will be the second prelude of the series. On to book #7!!!!

A PATIENT LOVE
I enjoyed Tyreek and Janae's story. Although Janae was dealing with issues from her past, she still took Tyreeks feelings into consideration by not allowing her past to come between what they were trying to build. I loved Tyreek for his patience and understanding with Janae. Their friendship remained in tact and that was most important. It also helped them personal time to themselves to reflect on where they saw their relationship moving forward with each other. Ahmad is all about self and he needs to be handled. I would love to read more about Piper and Nathan. Can't wait for Antonne's story.

Henchman/Teacher
Awww i loved Janae and Tyreek for one another. I could understand Janaes hesitation with her past experiences which left her traumatized making it hard for her to open up and commit to Tyreek. Now Tyreek is all alpha male, patient, loving, and a.. that wrapped up but at the same time a henchman. Chile I just gotta clutch my invisible pearls when it comes to Tyreek. And he good with the kids too, because he's Mister Teacher.

My Heart Is Full!
The love that Tyree showed Janae has my heart filled to capacity. Time, Patience and Understanding. It’s hard to fix someone you didn’t break but Tyree showed me it’s possible to be still and allow them to heal while knowing you’re waiting in the wings to catch them. I can’t wait to read more from this group of men and women who properly know how to love.

Enjoyable
Tyreek and Janae took me through the ringers with their back-and-forth over their relationship. I wanted them to stop playing and get on with being happy. Fortunately, the happiest part happened in the end. I enjoyed their story.

Tyreek showed his friendship and care to Janae, despite how he really felt. Both were committed to making sure Honey and Kahlil had a memorable wedding. Janae has reservations about getting beyond her pain and committing to a relationship. Tyreek ask her to just relax on the trip and spend time enjoying the moment. The care and patience he showed could change her mind.

Conflicted Taco Reunion
Hmmmm, I’m conflicted 😐. …I’d rate this book at a 3.5. Yes, I enjoyed reading “Mister Teacher (The Mister Series - Book 6). More so compartmentalizing major/transformative events in the book. Otherwise, sometimes no matter how much you like a person, it just doesn’t work out! Consequently, I didn’t see correlation between Tyreek, the Teacher, Janae, the Nurse and their (individual) personal/private dynamics that would unify them as a couple. …and why subject Tyreek to more disappointments chasing after someone that doesn’t want to be caught? Why didn’t best friend Honey recommend any type of professional help (IE: medical treatment, grief counseling, trauma therapy etc)? Also, although it was conveniently stated therapy (“talking to a stranger”) wasn’t for Janae. Depression, isolation, self deprecation etc. two years afterwards is not healthy, affective nor therapeutic. Thinking positive, dancing, music, tacos or a debaucherous week in Vegas ain’t going to cure and or illuminate mental health issues. Nevertheless, the taco reunion between Tyreek & Janae was cute. Unfortunately, their core issues were never resolved. Their story felt incomplete. Thereafter, yes it’s imperative to know more of Nathan and Piper (Ahmad) and Janae and Tyreek too.

I could relate to Janae’s hurt and disappointment but after awhile I started looking at her out f my side eye because, couldn’t help but wonder how long she actually thought Tyreek would wait.😔 His love for her was extremely special. The little test that was used by placing his name in the scripture 1Corinthians 13:4-7 was really wonderful I could see that as a way to determine if someone really needed to be in someone’s life ❤️
The twist with Ahmad, Piper and Nathan ,really had me sitting on the edge of my seat😮. I can’t help but wonder if Ahmad is going pop back up in future books to cause more havoc👀. For my money he needs to be eliminated 😡😖. I wouldn’t mind reading more about Piper and Nathan,he seems like he really knows how to love and protect Piper. So glad Tyreek’s Patience and commitment paid off.

When The way you Live Changes Your Life!
B. Love ,I've enjoyed this series so much. Everytime I read I'm like these are my favorite. Tyreek and Janae really had me in a chock hold. Watching Tyreek grow though was so worth it. He really wanted to start something new folk in all aspects of his life. Janae had so much internal issues going on she just didn't know which way was up. Her fear had her second guessing what and who she deserved.
I really felt for Piper, she is so messed up in the head, poor baby. I was so glad she finally woke up. Can I tell you how much I want to read about Nathan? He seems like a good Mister in the making. His love for Piper is a good thing, she finally realized what she had.

Most engrossing book I've read in a long time!!!!
This book was surprising to me how it seamlessly wove together past books in this book series. I am looking to reading this author's other books in this series and I plan on definitely going back and reading the earlier books. Being that I've only read 4, 5, and 6. I read romance novels all the time and again, I say, " this book 6, Mister Teacher is one of the most engrossing book I've read in a long time!!! I will definitely be recommending this book especially, well this whole series to my Retired Teachers Book Club!!!! You're Truly, Vera A Causey

Love is patient
I enjoyed this book and have been anticipating Tyreek and Janae’s story since this series began. Tyreek was the definition of love is patient because he was so patient with Janae and allowing time for her to heal especially once he really understood why she was so hesitant to let him love her. Their connection was so cute and I loved that they were able to build a genuine friendship before things became physical. Janae had a lot of healing to do and she was able to do so with Tyreek’s unconditional love and patience. I can’t say I’m interested in hearing more from Piper and Nathan if that means more of her trifling daddy Ahmad but it would be good to see Piper get her happily ever after since she decided to choose herself over her daddy. I highly recommend this read. It kept me intrigued from beginning to end.

Resonated Deeply
I love this story the most for some reason. It was the shortest but the most relatable for me. I think most ppl resonate with the idea of wanting to be healed fully before committing to romantic love but we’ll be healing until the day we die. Love heals. I truly believe that some healing must be done alone, of course, but you don’t get to the really DEEP healing until you’re met with triggers from another person. Whether platonic, romantic or familial, relationships give us the space to do that deep healing. I love this for both Nae and Reek. I most especially loved the “password with God” scene. I love that at the center of all of these books God and his love is a common and important theme. This was great.

Whether platonic, romantic or familial, relationships give us the space to do that deep healing. I love this for both Nae and Reek. I most especially loved the “password with God” scene. I love that at the center of all of these books God and his love is a common and important theme. This was great.

Another good one
I am really enjoying this Mister series, and Tyreek and Janae's story did not disappoint. Tyreek always felt Janae was the one for him, but he needed her to realize it and open herself up yo him fully. Janae wanted to be with Tyreek but pain and betrayal from her past consumed her and kept herself from being with him so she buried herself in work. A trip to Las Vegas would change things and maybe get them to their end goal, love, and each other. These two had some road bumps on their road to HEA, but they reached it in the end. Can't wait for the next story in this series.

Awesome Read
Tyreek was very patient and full of love, especially when it came to Janae. He knew she was his one, but she just needed time. Once Honey told him that she was going through something, he knew he would be there for her. There week together in Vegas was icing on the cake for them. Janae still had a lot of healing to do, but she knew Tyreek was where she wanted to be. Ahmad tried to sabotage their relationship with Tyreek and Khalil's past, but Piper helped Tyreek. Piper finally realized that Nathan is her one true love and she needed to help him. I would love to read more about them. Awesome job, B!

Loved it
Another great installment in the Mister series
Tyreek and Janae were meant to be together but it was not an easy journey mainly because of past trauma with Janae
It was great seeing characters from previous books especially finally seeing the wedding of Honey and Khalil take place
We do see some suspense, drama, family love, friendship and brotherhood in the story as well as some evil action by Ahmad (Piper father)
This story does have closure for Tyreek and Janae and let’s us know that we can look for more from Nathan and Piper & Ahmad
Overall a page turner and highly recommended

TEACHER IN LOVE
When I first started reading this story we were introduced to Tyreek, in a restaurant waiting to have dinner with his friend Janae. While sitting their waiting this women comes to his table, and of course she saw a good looking man alone. She wanted to know why he was there alone, and wanted to know if he wanted to have some fun. He said no and she told him that she could teach him. I thought this was the teacher but of course not. Tyreek was the teacher with a hood back ground. He cared about Janae but she never seem to have time for him. Lots to this book so read and enjoy.

Love sets you free
Never thought love would find Tyreek and Janae. One week in Vegas changed it all. They had a no strings attached trip. During that time Tyreek was able to help Janae realize how much he truly cared for her. It was enough to make her realize she needed to work on healing the loss of her child and failed relationship with her ex. There were some trials they faced but in the end love wins!!
I would really like to see what happens with Piper and Nathan and how they deal with the consequences of her actions with her father. Was so glad to see she did the right thing and finally went against the bad decisions her dad had her making all her life.

Listen…I was all for this Mister series, even read them in order. They all had their fair share of good drama and HEA, but Mister Teacher that started off so damn good bottomed out at the end and I was not expecting that. I get that we needed background on one of the characters but it seemed like she overshadowed all conclusions by the end of the story. I needed a strong HEA for Tyreek and James and it just ended…in the epilogue at that. Would I like a Piper and Nathan story, yes. But can we get a real update on Tyreek and Janae I feel like they fought so hard to be in each others arms for the readers to be cheated out of an awesome ending like his brother Khalil. Come on now B. Love

Misted Teacher
Okay, I digress. Tyreek is my favorite mister. He was a man of God. And no matter the things that he'd done in the past, he always put God first. He loved his family and his friends. He would go to war for them with God as his wingman.
It is refreshing to read stories about men who are about that life but also know who they are and whose they are. Thugs with a beautiful soul. Tyreek loved Janae, and he gave her room to heal and rest in his. What a beautiful love story.
I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with Nathan, Piper, and her no-good daddy Ahmad.

Loved It. Lessons in love can be hard especially when you have hurt to your core! Tyreek was nurturing and loving when it came to Janae, she had a lot of hurt in her. Tyreek was patient, kind, loving,respectful & nasty when Janae needed him to be! Once Janae com out of her own way and salt with her turmoil, she was all that Tyreek needed! Loved the epilogue, can't wait to read about Antonne, Hailey deserve to get her happily ever after! We can call Antoine Mister Muscle

Mr. Teacher
Tyreek book started with excitement for me but the ending had me upset, happy, confused. Before understanding Janae and her run around I was almost annoyed she kept stringing Tyreek along. But it turned out there were major reasons for this. It touched lightly on Tyreek actually teaching job, which I found interesting and was hoping to read more of. The story circled more so around his life as a henchman and I guess you can say he was a teacher for Janae. But I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

Love is Patient
This love story is truly based on Love is patient. Tyreek and Janae story was complicated because of her pass (I would have loved to see a run in with the ex but ok). She allowed pass traumas to effect how she lived her life and it effected her relationships. This man was patient I mean biblical patient! It’s a sweet love story with a little action. Only thing I felt the story was missing was DRAMA! I would’ve loved to have a stronger twist in the story or some crazy. So if your looking for a REALLY good love story this is it!

Janea’s ex was trash 🗑️ but she dodged that bullet to be prepared for her Mister Teacher and his sexy indecent Vegas proposal!!
