Resort #3
Paradise Pride
London-based casino manager Meghan has no expectations of her two-week holiday in Spain; she’s just tagging along with her friend who’s visiting her love interest. When they arrive at a deserted hotel due to a booking fault and her friend leaves to see her boyfriend, she’s left with the bartender who stays on for the night.
Bartender Florence is excited for the Pride weekend held at Paradise Hotel, but she did not anticipate working a shift the night prior to serve only one guest. Meghan, the guest in question, is anxious about staying in her room alone, and after an unexpectedly pleasant evening together, Florence offers her company to make her feel safe.
Meghan is delighted with the arrangement that serves them both, but her attraction to Florence confuses her. As the only straight woman at a Pride event, she can’t help but feel conflicted about all the female attention her new friend is getting, and she starts questioning everything she thought to be true about herself.

5 Stars - Finding true love on vacation? Yes, please!
I love the way Lise Gold tells a story. Her characters here are interesting with their own issues and backstories. I really enjoyed each act, how they meet, how they get to know each other, their time apart, and especially their reunion. I feel like poor Meghan's whirlwind of self-discovery was realistic and understandable, even if I did wish she would have grown a backbone a bit quicker. Florence was just a complete sweetheart through the whole thing, who in their right mind wouldn't fall in love with her? :) Their reunion at the end was everything you'd want it to be and left me with a huge smile. And Lise leaves us with a nice little epilogue glimpse down the HEA road at the very end. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Shelved: sapphic-romance, age-gap, coming-out, fun-favorite-loved, intense-connection, kindle-unlimited, location-england, location-spain, not-so-straight, on-holiday

Lise Gold always writes wonderful books - she is one of my ‘go to’ authors. Love this book: just enough angst to keep it interesting. A good series, Recommended.

I found this beautiful gem on my TBR shelves! I fell in love with both MCs, Meghan and Florence. I can understand the turmoil Meghan was going through. I mean she just realized she likes women. But I understand where Florence was thinking, she doesn't want to hide their relationship. But, love conquers all. I LOVE THIS BOOK!! 5 stars!

I really liked the characters and thought the chemistry between the MCs was well done. Interesting and enjoyable storyline, it was overall a great romance read. 4.5 stars rounded up.

I loved the first half but the second half lost me a little.
They were just so uncertain - which is understandable but it still kinda annoyed me - and then they spent almost 60 pages apart from each other, I hate when stuff like that happens in books.
Overall I still really enjoyed it, I would've just liked a few more scenes of them doing happy couple things.

I really enjoyed this third book in „The Resort Series“.
I love them all, but the chemistry between Meghan and Florence was so pure and sweet.
Meghan is a straight woman on vacation with her best friend.
At least she thought she isa straight until she met the sweet, lovely, kind and beautiful Florence behind the bar of the Paradise Hotel.
Florence is genuinely intrigued by Meghan but respects that she is not there for the pride festival.
Neither of them can escape the attraction and it becomes more and more difficult to stay just friends.
A new world opens up for Meghan and Florence is waiting for her there.
It’s a holiday romance with a late bloomers story and it’s so 🔥 hot, hot, hot!

Paradise Pride
Lise Gold wrote a wonderful story that had me enthralled from the beginning. I loved the passion. It was a great premise. I enjoyed seeing the MCs from the first in the series. I look forward to more books.

Welcome to paradise where a casual and unexpectedly steamy holiday leads to a life-changing self-discovery…
Londonites Meghan and Kim are holidaying in Spain so that Kim can visit her long-distance boyfriend. Turns out that their stay at Paradise Hotel coincides with a women-only pride event, and their booking wasn’t transferred to a sister hotel like everyone else’s. With no one else staying in the hotel that first night, and Kim staying at her boyfriend’s place, Meghan is a little anxious about being in the hotel all by herself, and so bartender Florence offers to stay with her after the end of her shift. There’s definite chemistry between the pair, even with their 10 year age difference, but Meghan is adamant that she’s straight. However as she spends more time with Florence, who continues to keep her company at night while Kim is with her boyfriend, Meghan begins to question her past relationships and her sexuality. As Meghan comes to terms with this self discovery and what it could mean for her future, Florence struggles with once again being someone’s secret. As Meghan and Kim’s holiday comes to a end, Meghan and Florence are forced to face the harsh reality of holiday romances and the journey one takes to coming out to themselves and to their friends and family.
Lise has gone from strength to strength with The Resort series and I have absolutely loved being whisked away to Benidorm and the swoony Spanish coast. Not only that, but she’s taken the series from being super angst-free in Welcome To Paradise, to a tiny sprinkling of angst in After Sunset, to delivering all the angst and a third-act breakup in Paradise Pride. And as much as I enjoyed the angst-free romance of the earlier books, it made total sense to Meghan and Florence’s story that things would get difficult and hearts could be broken.
One of the major focuses in this book is Meghan questioning her sexuality and coming to the realisation that she isn’t actually straight. When a lot of people have their sexuality figured out in the teens and 20s, it was nice to be able to follow someone in their 30s having this realisation and what it could mean for their life plans. Lise did a wonderful job with bringing Meghan’s story to life and the pressures this coming out journey put on her relationship with Florence. There was sweet moments, there was swoony moments, there were plenty of spicy moments, and there was some heartbreak in there as well.
I also loved getting to see Florence’s co-worker Manuel a little more, and seeing how his story has progressed throughout the trilogy - being a straight man, it was a massive stretch that Lise would dedicate a whole book to his story, so I loved seeing him get a happy ending too. For a secondary character that we didn’t really get to see too much of in these books, it’s weird how much he did grow on me as a side character.
I’m not one to pick favourites when it comes to companion novel series, but I do think Meghan and Florence’s story might be my favourite (until I inevitably reread these books and fall in love with all the characters all over again). If you’re looking for a sweet, swoony and spicy sapphic romance with a side of age-gap and a dash of coming out in your 30s, this is the book for you!

Possible spoiler alert?
So ultimately this book still gets five stars cause it has a happy ending. But this book annoyed me to the point where it gave me tension headaches (No joke). The first half was great. But I hated the way Meghan behaved and treated Florence. She was so cowardly and cruel and it caused way more anxt than was necessary. At least she realized in the end how badly she had treated Flo. And for anyone thinking I don't know what she went through, I do, I didn't come out til I was 27 out of fear of what my family would think of/treat me. But I would never have been so cruel to someone. I loved the first two books in this series... This one kinda dropped the ball. Like I said, ultimately happy ending, and thats my kryptonite, so 5 stars.

beautiful
Such a wonderful end? to this series. I kind of hate the term toaster oven romance, so I’m going to go with friends to lovers which works as well.
Main characters are likeable but one of them also has serious issues both in the past and her new realisation of maybe not being straight after all. I wasn’t a fan of Kim, I found her very self centred and pushy. Everything else was spot on though.
As a person who left everything behind to move to Spain these books hold a special place in my heart.

Loved this!
I absolutely love all Lise Gold novels and there is no exception here! I feel like I am right there with the characters on the beach, in the bar, by the pool watching the bartender. Florence and Meghan's love story was so fun to read about. I couldn't stop reading it until I was through!

Another amazing one from Lise.
I loved it and I knew I would. I do really love this series and it really makes me wanna visit Spain more than I have. It a lovely story about coming out and finding your self.
I can only recommend this series.
Can be read without the first two, but you want to know the whole story about Paradise hotel.

A beautiful story of finding your authentic self and love. Change is never easy. In times of what you this you know and from realizing new things about you. It takes courage to live the best life that is suited for you.

Another “Gold-en” Romance 😍
A very sweet novel than confronts the problems created when one realizes her true sexuality at a relatively late (35) time in their life, and how she deals with it.
Can’t wait for this novel me to come out as an audiobook. 😁

Cute Romance, this is the third installment in the Resort Series and it fits the whole romance on vacation trip throughout the series, this is my least favorite of the series only because there were some hiccups in the storyline timeline at some points of the story. It was cute and to the point which is was I love about this series to begin with. I enjoyed the characters, but at times they both could be a bit back and forth on who they were, making me feel like the author might not have known who these characters were at the core when writing them. All in all, though it was a sweet fall in love and figuring out who you are story.

The resort series is just feel good all over. With great vibes and a Spanish resort called Paradise as a backdrop it really is a joy to read. Especially nice on a lazy sunny day.
There's a lot of sexual tension between the main characters, and you don't have to wait all the way to the end of the book to get a little action.
There's a story line about a guy named Tiger I didn't understand and also didn't like. But overall it was a nice read.
About halfway in you get the usual drama and of course in the end the HEA.
This book can easily be read as a stand alone, because from the first two books, only Stella makes a small unsignificant appearance.

Life in Paradise
This was an engaging story of two women, one a bartender at the Paradise hotel on the coast of Spain, and the other a visiting casino boss who hails from London. They meet at the hotel, start spending time together due to a fear that Meagan, the casino boss, has from previous travels. After a couple of days together things become pretty intense. There is an age gap (ten years) and economic gap between Meagan and Florence that comes into play after they begin to get more serious. An excellent Resort Series read.

Very short chapters, which in my opinion interrupted the flow of the story. There were also some pacing issues, with the big angsty moment coming so late in the narrative that we couldn't see the characters in a proper relationship until the epilogue.
