I think I have read every book by Shayne Ford and I am pleased to say, she always delivers...and with that said, I would like to add that Breaking McKenna is my all time favorite. This series ticks every box and I would highly recommend it to readers who are open to experience darkness that whispers of light.

I was expecting an emotional delivery and was not disappointed. I loved the characters, they felt real and the story was powerful on so many levels. Much is hidden from the reader and from the characters but it adds to the story and delivers in every way possible.

The backstories that have held both Vivian and Chad hostage will be revealed. As expected, fate plays a major role in both of their lives so they are guarded. Will they reach a place where they can be open enough to disclose their greatest fears before it is too late? Let's hope so, because if you are like me, you absolutely love these two beautiful souls and hope they can find a place of peace and love.

If you have a heart, you will need tissues - possibly lots of them...but this is a good thing. Right now I am going to take some time and re-read all three books in this set and I am positive it will be even better the second time around.

Don’t Play With Fate.

The conclusion to Chad McKenna and Vivian Mason’s trilogy was an amazingly, erotic romance from this wonderful author. I only wish I could give more than 5 stars for this emotional gripping read, but alas I can’t. Vivian is still unwilling to share with her best friend Lila her relationship with McKenna as she has an irrational fear that something bad will happen! Lila and Vivian are Interns at their first day at CM Inc. Is McKenna ever going to attain closure on his memories of his wife? Will this be his last goodbye with Maya? Vivian and McKenna’s Love is electric and so, so good! Will Valerie Perkins talk with Vivian cause more conflict? Will they get their forever, perfect love? Can she really trust McKenna? Or will her trust issues Change Everything that is so right?or will McKenna stop trying to convince her of his love? McKenna knows only Vivian can bring him back to his joy of life! You will have to read this highly recommended must read to find out! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC for an honest opinion.

I received an Advance Reader Copy for BREAKING MCKENNA: A Billionaire Dark Romance (Shades of Love, Book #3) written by Shayne Ford and voluntarily reviewed this book. This is the last book of the Shades of Love Trilogy, and it begins with McKenna and Vivian entering an almost deceivingly mild, “honeymoon-ish” phase of their relationship. Vivian is trying to get her internship off the ground at CM Inc., and she was in love. Somehow, though, McKenna’s past keeps coming up, and even more questions crowd her thoughts about their relationship. This last installment is just as tumultuous emotionally as the first two installments, but this time around, a lot more is at stake, especially for Vivian’s heart. This read was the perfect way, I thought, to end what they had built together since that one fateful night McKenna saw her in the alley. Also, the HEAs were more than I expected and entirely satisfying.

Shayne Ford has done it again! Vivian and McKenna are now seeing each other on a daily basis, an unofficial couple. They've even declared their love for each other. But communication? Yeah, not so much yet. What will it take for Vivian to completely trust McKenna and learn to be more secure in him and herself? What was McKenna hiding that he couldn't talk to her about? And now a piece of his past comes face to face with the both of them that must be dealt with one way or another. Power house of emotions it will make you want to cry out for the love that you know is there, but shadows of the past will wedge in between two hearts that have felt sorrow cut deep into their bones. The conclusion to McKenna and Vivian's story is so gripping you'll feel your heart being squeezed to the point just before it burst. What can I possibly say???? Shayne's writing is just so perfect!
This book brought the story of Chad and Vivian full circle and tied up the storyline beautifully!
Book 3 is not as dark as book 1 & 2 but is full of heartfelt emotion for and from both main characters.
I loved how this series ended, giving you a sneak peak down the line.
Book 1 & 2 are MUST READS for this series!!!

Wow!

What is there not to say! You hit every emotion I could have thought to have! When I cried, it didn’t stop when McKenna sweet dark love to her...I cried through the passion to! Well written and I love the bad guy McKenna was! I loved how young in age Vivian was but her old soul shown through her temper tantrums! You may seek love...but it is so much better when you get hit with the tsunami of love finding you! That’s how I feel after reading this series....a tsunami of dark magical powerful love ❤️

A wonderful and emotional series conclusion

In the third and last installment of Shades of Love Vivian, a struggling student and intern, and McKenna, a man with secrets that haunt him, seem to have fixed their distorted relationship, but secrets are still keeping them adrift. Breaking McKenna delves further into the past to give their present a chance at a future. With some gut wrenching revelations and plenty of self revelations Shayne Ford brings this series to a heart healing conclusion.

It’s a tear filled and in many ways a painfully sad book . It took Mckenna truly
Forever to tell Vivian that he had a wife he lost and he finally did tell her but not until the very end of the book did he also explain he lost. 3 year old son . It
Took an accidental pregnancy before McKenna chose to share about his son Jonathon . I questioned that it my mind thinking in the natural order of things sharing it as the same time as he shared his wife’s death would have been easier ....but it had the desired effect , Vivian cancelled her planned abortion .
The ending was lovely , they added a college graduation , a business Vivian started although no details about it , a son named Noah and 8 years later they were married .
Note to self , better than Helen Hardt but not a 5 star

2.5 stars. All in all, I liked the general story but it read as a first draft. There were tons of issues with the writing and all three books are in desperate need of editing. Throughout the series, it felt like the author threw in drama and obstacles as she thought of them instead of plotting them out cohesively. Many details were missing that would have made the story more understandable and complete. There were some threads that were bolstered as important but turned out to be almost nothing or already known and dropped. I had many fundamental questions throughout that were never answered. Also, the pacing or something was off. The ending was 100% predictable.

She’s 18 People

Try to remember who you were at 18 years old. Just getting over your first high school heartbreak...do you think that girl is ready for a widowed billionaire? Book one of this series finishes with the reader basically knowing zilch about McKenna. There were times Vivian seemed so pathetically desperate I just attributed that to her age. 18 year old girls know nothing and truthfully, I don.’their want to read about them. Book 2 McKenna Revealed at least gives the reader some perspective about this anti hero and by Book 3....I just wanted to be done.

Review is for all 3 books...Good but sometimes annoying.

Read all three in one day....Vivian and McKenna's first encounter was on the lines of Pretty Woman with a more aggressive twist. But as the story progressed, Vivian's immaturity and jealousy became childish and annoying. Given her background, I expected a little maturity. She was very naive, she kept asking for truth but kept running at the same time. The third book redeemed the series at the end. Book 1 - 5 stars.....Book 2 - 3 stars........Book 3 - 4 stars.

Just Read The Books

There really is no reason to review this book. As the third in this trilogy, if you weren't already enjoying this story you wouldn't be looking to read the final chapters.

Two sad, lonely and broken people found one another and, after working through many issues on both of their parts, were able to shed their fears and demons to find love and happiness.

Wish it didn’t end

Such a beautiful intense story of finding love. Vivienne is probably one of my most favourite heroines, old beyond her years yet at times insecure. McKenna with all his secrets was at times annoying but they were a beautiful match. Loved this series & highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good read
