Geronimo Stilton #50

O Fantasma do Grande Hotel

Rate this book
Each Geronimo Stilton book is fast-paced, with lively full-color art and a unique format kids 7-10 will love.My good friend Hercule Poirat and I were called to investigate mysterious events in the famouse Grand Hotel in New Mouse City. There was a ghost haunting the hotel and scaring guests! It was wearing armor and carrying a ball and chain. I know that ghosts don't exist, but this was pretty spooky. Would Poirat and I be able to solve this spine-tingling mystery?

I absolutely devoured these books as a kid and since I'm going through a rough time right now, I decided to read one for comfort and ended up reading 4 haha. Don't judge me, I need book "comfort food". It wasn't even as bad as I thought it was going to be, I was obsessed with them in elementary school but i figured they wouldn't really stand the test of time. They held up pretty well though and did their job of comforting me, even if it was only temporary ;)

This is the second Geronimo Stilton book I've read. The good news is my kids at school really seem to like them - and this book wasn't so bad. I liked the storyline and it felt a bit Scooby-Doo-ish, which was fun, but then at the very end, it got suddenly so very random, and I sat and went "What in the world does this have to do with anything?" I get that it's a kids book, but should the story really take such a sudden and random 360 for no reason at all other than to fill pages? No, I don't think any book should do such things, children's book or not.

So, because that very weird and awkward ending, I'm giving this book 2 stars. It was unnecessary and didn't add to the story. In fact, because of the sudden, strange change, to me, it really took away from the story.

Another thing I liked this book because of it which if there is some words maybe will be hard for some people he put a photo which explain what the writer mean this thing make raed beautiful and make the person who read enjoy of this book, the book has intellient ideas which effict for reader to analyez and think deeply, so in this way I believe we will develope the mind. This book is important to read from police because they are the element of analysis in all societies .

Everyone loves good haunted story in the night. the hotel here the grand hotel is haunted geronimo and Hercule Poirat solve the mystery behind it. The customers complaining that someone was getting into their room. Since Geronimo and Hercule Poirat's friend was the owner they were asked to help him to solve the mystery or else he has to sell his hotel which has been here for generation in his family to a guy who wants to make into a toilet factory. My favourite character in this book is the monster she is smart because I think it was sweet of her to try to help her brother get this hotel.

Rumour is spreading that a ghost haunts the New Mouse City’s famous Grand Hotel! Geronimo and his friend- Hercule Poirat are called to investigate the hotel. While investigating Geronimo found that a mysterious business mouse, Bradley Bigbottom, had been asking the Grand Hotel owner-Horatzio Hoteltail to sell the hotel to him at a really low price to turn it into a toilet factory! The ghost is wearing armour and a chain, scaring the guests. Would Geronimo and Hercule Poirat would be able to solve the mystery?
This book was mysterious and I thought the ghost was creepy until the mystery was uncovered. The suspense was good. The way the clues were mentioned in the book was good as we get a feel that we are a part of the investigation. The language was simple. In short, this book was funny and mysterious, and I would recommend this book for Geronimo mystery lovers and others who want a short and quick mystery read.

This was a pretty enjoyable book. I grabbed it to read while trying to sort out Ryan's books which were simply crammed into a bookcase. In this one we have a hotel which all of a sudden has become haunted for some reason. So Geronimo Stilton (who is portrayed as being somewhat of a coward in the books) is dragged into an investigation by his friend Hercule Poirat (the books are loaded with that type of pun by the way). My one quibble with the story was that it seemed to be solved much too quickly. Still it is a mystery that would have done Scooby Doo and company proud. The type is fairly large and some words are in coloured bold face for reasons I do not know. As well there are plenty of illustrations. If you have a youngster who is starting to read longer works you may want to try them on this series. My oldest son (who is 10) still enjoys them even though he has moved on to somewhat older reading (i.e Harry Potter and Rick Riordan).

It just so happened that I recently read this book and I cannot really understand what is happening there. After they discovered who is in the suit, they discovered a mouse in a suit. And you know what happened? Geronimo became a hero. So, what happened to the mouse in the suit? N-O-T-H-I-N-G. Not even a single sentence was written what happened if they arrested her or she escaped . The fact that Geronimo has a broken leg, almost EVERYONE is making him suffer by playing with his broken leg. Almost no one really cares what he felt. I felt sorry for him because of that. I hope the next book of his is gonna be much better than this.

I have tons of students who love this series, so I thought I should read one of the books to see what makes Stilton interesting. While the format and writing didn't appeal to me, I understand why some kids enjoy the books. This reminded me of a Scooby-Doo episode, but not as funny.

This beginning chapter book has lots of colorful illustrations, a mystery to solve, and lots of fun. The ending seemed disjointed, but I'm hoping this series will encourage the kids to attempt longer books.

This is the book I dare not read in public.

Well yes, someone asked me to review a children's book and as they say, you're not a true book lover if you don't love free books. 🤓
Well okay I made that one up. 🙄

Geronimo Stilton - This Hotel Is Haunted

Okay, let me take you back to my school time. I did my schooling from Army School and we were blessed to have the most perfect library ever. Situated at that farthest end of the school, overlooking woods and bushes past the barbed boundary wires, when the slanting rays of sun used to hit the readers sitting on the long community reading table amongst cupboards filled with fairy tales and Suppandi comics and Readers Digest, the time used to stand still. I think this is what they call a core memory.

The smell of books - new and old - was so enticing that despite the craze of Orkut on newly installed row of half a dozen computers in one corner of the library, nothing could separate me from my books.

Confession!! I actually considered becoming a librarian as a career option once. #sorrynotsorry

But why the rant? Cuz this book took me exactly there. In that secluded library, in a corner of the world, with its slanting rays of sun and aroma of books.

So read on if you have less time, but want to read something really fun and maybe want to sample books before handing them out to your kids (Helicopter momma 😉)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Shout out to Sahil for the book drop. Send me some more Geronimo. 😅

I will talk about this story that the story talks about life in general and also about the new Grand Mouse Hotel and then the story started talking about the appearance of a ghost inside someone who frightens people, the ghost was wearing a solid armor and there was something white coming out of his hat.

The hotel's owner Hercules Porat, had brought his friend Geronimo stilton to the investigation and finally revealed who was the ghost of they are Bertha and Bradley, both rich and evil.

And some of my comments on the story that it is a beautiful story useful to children and that the form of writing in the story beautiful and easy to learn learned a lot of principles, the most important is to help each other to revealed the fact .

The story was about a ghost in the hotel.

I love the Geronimo Stilton books for what they are - cute and a little bit silly mystery books. As a 4th grade teacher, they are not my first choice for books for my students to read, but I have a "dormant reader" (as Donalyn Miller likes to call them) who will willingly read Geronimo Stilton books. I love them for that!

The one great thing about Geronimo Stilton is the vocabulary. It is seamlessly woven into the story and the fonts used help kids construct meaning and point out the words being used.

I personally, as an adult reader, would not choose to read them, but I am grateful for the interest that it garners for my young readers!

As usual, many people, including myself, look at the book's cover and judge it before reading it. For me, after the problems we face with the books, I took this book and I do not want it or seriously I did not like it, but when I read it, the writer attracted me so much that I felt I was there watching events and I hope others read it because it makes Person predicts the end of the story, this book contains mysterious events make you think about what will happen later and I hope I can read the rest of the parts of its beginning .....

It’s the first Geronimo stiton book, I liked that he used some kind of a silly mystery, It was a little bit funny, also the way of speaking when the ghost want to scar mice, like "IIIIII'm the ghoooooooost", I’d like to recommend this book my little sister and for kids how like mysteries, In fact I gave it one star because I didn’t understand some action such as when they find the armor.

It is a very interesting book and it is a spooky story but in the end the person behind the scene is very funny. I love to read Geronimo Stilton books in my room when my mom is angry at me. Geronimo Stilton books is a book that will last you a long time.

The story kept me entertained till the very end, once the mystery was solved it got very random, like I was starting another story but then it came back around to the main story. Thought that was weird. Otherwise a quick read for me.

I read this with my son and even though I know it's a kids' series, I just didn't really like it. The mystery wasn't interesting and the humor was just silly. My son is only five but also wasn't a fan of the mystery or the humor. Oh well... on to the next series!

i feel pretty surprised at the quality. these really do have great illustrations and solid writing, for the age level they cater to. even if the humor is a little…cheesy. eheh.

I mean it was fine, but it didn’t really stand the test of time. Great illustrations, though.

Not rating because it’s not exactly fair - I’m not the target market after all.

I loved this one too! This was a lot like Scooby Doo, but with mice instead of humans a dog. Super cute and wonderful for little sleuths.

I liked how Hercule Poirat unmasked the ghost. Geronimo broke his leg all because of Poirat. Poirat did it on accident.

Reading children's books right now feels so good. It's a quick, fun read that doesn't drain my energy with all the complicated adult topics and that's exactly what I neeed right now.
