An excellent book about the different star ships in the Star Wars Universe. My favorite fact that I learned was that Anakin Skywalker painted his ARC-1 70 Jedi Starfighter yellow to remind him of his old podracer.
My favorite character is Jango Fett. His ship is cool. What surprised me the most was the Invisible Hand. It's so strong but it still got destroyed. I would change the book to show the ship that Anakin caught on fire.
This is a great book for the young Star Wars fan wanting to know all about Star Wars spacecraft: Droid Control Ship, Naboo Royal Starship, podracers, Naboo Royal N-1 starfighters, Slave I, Republic gunships, Jedi starfighters, the Trade Federation's flagship, Invisible Hand, escape pods, Imperial shuttles, TIE fighters, Millenium Falcon, X-wing starfighters, and the Super Star Destroyer. Which one is the biggest? This exciting book has all the answers! Intended for those who are reading alone, Level 3, it has more complex sentence structure, information boxes and alphabetical glossary, and a comprehensive index.
For beginner readers who are interested in Star Wars, this is a excellent choice for them. With great stills from the movies, the reader will learn so much about the various space ships that were used in the movies. Even a die-hard Star Wars fan can learn something from this book. Great for beginner readers.
This book honors what most Star Wars geeks feel is the most "important" part of the double trilogies--the space vehicles and the technology that make all the firepower happen. Obviously these craft could not work in the real world, but then who said Star Wars was the real world anyway?
