About the author

Margaret Hefferman (pen name Maighread MacKay) is an author from Durham Region. She is a member of the Writer’s Community of Durham Region (WCDR).

Always interested in ghosts and mysteries, one of the first books I remember reading as a child was Nancy Drew and the Ghost of Blackwood Hall. Why do spirits stay around after they leave their earthly body? Are they real? What do they want? All questions I have asked myself in my exploration of the supernatural. My quest has led me on a fascinating study of yoga, Native theology, Celtic Shamanism, the realm of the Fae and authors such as James Van Praagh, John Edward, Brian Weiss, Eckhart Tolle, James Redfield, Ted Andrews and many others. These studies led me to pen various genres which deal with the imagination and spiritual aspects of life.

Most importantly I search my heart for inspiration, hoping to touch the hearts of the people who view and purchase my work.
