Das grosse Buch von Rasputin, dem Vaterbär - 66 Geschichten aus dem Familienleben eines Bärenvaters - bk1091; Diogenes Verlag; Janosch; Paperback; 1986
Janosch is the pen name of Horst Eckert, one of Germany's most popular authors and illustrators of children's books. His works have won several awards.
This book looks and feels like a children's book. What else could it be? After all, Janosch is a children's book author, if a quirky one. And very short poems with pictures is a children's book format, after all, right? However, when you read it, you will quickly find out that this is a book for adults, who have children. A sort of a little present for all the fathers (and mother) that have to read books to their children at night, and would like to find one, that has a story that interests them. It is beautifully illustrated, as all Janosch books are - but the pictures comment on the story and turn it on its head. A lovely way to spend an evening, when you are really tired after a day with the little ones.
