Very good book about how to help students achieve success. I really like this book because the author gave concrete examples of how to do what she is suggesting. There is too much in the book to explain here but my favorite idea was asking the student if they need help instead of just giving my help. Allow the student to explore a problem on his or her own if she wants to. There is a way to point out what the student is doing, allow them to identify the problem and ask if they would like the teacher's suggestions.

This is a great resource for how to incorporate choice into all lesson planning across grade levels and subjects. I learned a lot and especially appreciated the templates, tools, and real-life scenarios that were used to demonstrate the components of effective academic choice.
