We read this last night at bedtime and Julia liked it more than I thought she would. I think she liked it so much because it stayed so true to the cartoon episode that she knows. She knew what was going to happen and she knew what CleoTasha needed to do. This was the first book we've read that was like this - if we have read other books that revolved around current cartoon characters they weren't taken from actual episodes.
Say Please! is cute for the younger crowd - it points out that saying 'please' and 'thank you' is important and that you can miss out if you don't use your manners.

This is an excellent book to use for all elementary grade levels. The older grade levels may think it is silly because the cartoon characters are on NickJr, but, the book would be great to talk about Egypt, The Nile River, historic artifacts, and the water cycle. For younger children, the book is extremely relatable because they probably watch the cartoon. Also young children are still learning about manners so it is excellent for reinforcement of manners.

This is a GREAT book for toddlers and pre-schoolers to strengthen their manners. Princess Cleo Tasha learns that the secret to getting what you would like to have is to say, "Please and Thank you." When I took the book to my son's day care, the teachers wanted to have a copy of the book at the school, and said that 3 different classes enjoyed hearing the story during story time.

He likes the illustrations of the characters, but I didn't care for the plot.

Interestingly uninteresting, Egyptian setting with a say 'please' and 'thank you'in life and it will get you everywhere in life. Unrealistic.
