Scooby-Doo and the gang are having dinner in a millionaire's castle, when suddenly a ghost turns out the lights. It's a chilling new case for the super sleuths and Scooby-Doo!
We love all things Scooby-Doo, so whenever we find a Scooby-Doo book we haven't read yet at our local library, we just have to borrow it. The stories in the Scooby-Doo! Mysteries series are simple, fun, and we enjoy reading them together.
Right now, our girls really like these short chapter books, but they also like the shorter picture books too. We've read over forty of these stories, but there are so many more out there...I think we'll be having fun with these stories for years to come.
This story is rather simple and involves a flat tire, a haunted castle and a very generous host (and lots of food, of course!) It was a quick read and we enjoyed reading it together.
Who doesn't love Scooby Doo? This book is great especially since there is a cartoon. I think students will be more interested in this book because they have some background information from the television show.
This is perfect for any child who loves Scooby-Doo. This book is funny and provides a good mystery for children to think about. This would be perfect for a child who doesn't like reading but loves Scooby-Doo.
My daughter is a big Scooby-Doo fan and loved this book. I read it and thought it was very cute. It definitely reminds me of the cartoon Scooby-Doo that I grew up with. I would definitely recommend this book to young readers.
This was everything a Scooby Doo story should be. It was like an episode of the tv show in chapter book form so if you love the show and like young reader chapter books then you'll love this too. That being said, as an adult a Scooby Doo story to me is predictable, formulaic and a little too goofy. Kids would love it though.
Scooby Doo is one of the best animated series in my opinion. I've never read books or comics in particular and I think it's about time. I really love it and I really hope to see new projects with Scooby Doo. I really want to watch the animated series to be honest so I'm thinking of contacting CanadianWritings https://canadianwritings.com/ for help with my pending essay. Maybe I'll call some friends and finally get some rest this weekend
A quick read that my grandson and I shared tonight at bedtime. We traded off reading chapters aloud to one another. We both erred in naming who the “ghost” really was, but that’s actually refreshing. All the gang were in character, gags were amusing, in other words ... a fun chapter book to enjoy (with full color interior illustrations, too).
This book had a nice mystery within it. It has the reader along with the characters trying to solve the case together. The reader goes through a journey with Scooby, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne, and Fred to find out who the ghost of Montgomery Castle is. There are many suspects, and the gang has to figure out who the ghost could be. This was such a great book and a fun read overall.
The fact that the author used to watch the Scooby-Doo cartoon as a kid explains how this story is so similar to what would be seen in a typical episode. I enjoyed this fact in that it followed the pattern of how the characters interact with each other and solve a mystery involving the paranormal! It was a cute little chapter book with some vivid illustrations.
This is a cute book for Scooby fans and great for beginner readers who are ready for chapter books. It was a rather simple story but it lacked some needed detail. The pictures were mostly nice but some just looked odd and needed some touching up. Overall it was still a cute story.
This book framed my childhood too much. I used to read it about 2 times a day, since since they are short stories I could read them as many times as I wanted and I always read them with the same emotion and enthusiasm as the first time, we all wanted a puppy like scooby doo.
The Mystery Machine has always been my favorite cartoon since 1997 so it was such a pleasure to discover this book. Adorable, amazing illustrations, I had a lovely time reading it. If you are an adult Scooby fan this is perfect for a 50 minute flight or short reading break.
This is a fun book that is loosely based on the Scooby Doo shows. I found it fun and light-hearted and I would like to read more when I just need an escape from reality.
From all the movies that I grew up watching for as long as I can remember and the books I recently found helps me reconnect with my childhood in so many ways ♥
