Veil by Reginald Cook was a good read that caught me by surprise. I was hooked from the beginning. It opens with a nice historical reference that sets up the back story for the rest of the plot. Fast action, politics, murder, with some nicely placed humor makes for great time. I will be starting Mr. Cook's follow up "the Hammer of God" tonight.
