The movie that inhales is a fractured farce set on the last day of school in 1976 in which a diverse group of Austin, Texas, high school students get stoned, partake in hazing pranks, find romance and contemplate the future. Writer/director Richard Linklater's ("Slacker") far-out flashback stars Jason London, Milla Jovovich, Joey Lauren Adams, Ben Affleck, Parker Posey, and Matthew McConaughey, and features a great period soundtrack. 94 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtracks: English Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1, French Dolby Digital stereo; Subtitles: Spanish, French; deleted scenes; more.
Dazed and Confused, written and directed by Richard Linklater
Richard Linklater is one of the glorious geniuses of cinema, with astounding achievements that have mesmerized audiences:
Boyhood, Before Midnight and the remarkable, stunning, outstanding, one of the best ten films of all time:
Before Sunset
However, Dazed and Confused – earlier on, School of rock- does not have the same radiance, depth and magnificence as Me and Orson Welles, Fast Food Nation and the other three glorious features already mentioned.
I thought this book was very steller. It was based of the hippy movie Dazed and Confused. Read like a mad magazine. It was clever and very funny. Each page was a differnt magazine article. Some info based on the movie, others writen like a yearbook. It was cute, witty, pure genunies. Only problem I really wish the pages were in color and not black and white. Really made me not like the book as much. Fun read!
It's memorabilia to a movie I'm obsessed with so I'm biased. I love this companion to the film!
Character essays, yearbook pictures, timely newspaper clippings, roach and weed hints and tips, teacher's notes, fashion editorials........
For anyone who watched Dazed and wanted to step inside the movie, this book will make that dream feel a little more real. (Okay, not really, but you get the gist).
This "book" sucked. LOVED the movie. Rented it twice, bought the VHS tape. Saw this in a Barnes and Noble, bought it and realized I had wasted my money.
