Six-Week Start-Up offers entrepreneurs a quick-and-easy, proven formula for organizing the difficult details of a new business and getting it up-and-running—fast! Designed by America's foremost small-business advice guru Rhonda Abrams as a personal workbook.
I read this book for an MBA class. I can appreciate a good step-by-step book (I process so much better when things are linear), and this book did a great job of walking through what it takes to start a business. LOTS of helpful information and first-hand wisdom is passed on here, including many "make sure you don't forget ____" sections. I don't plan to start a business any time in the near future, but I agree with many other reviews of the book in that starting a business will probably take longer than 6 weeks, but this will get you well on your way.
Detailed and thorough; walks you step-by-step through the process of creating a new business, including things I hadn't thought of. Breaking it down into six weeks makes the process feel more manageable than just tossing it all out at once.
It will take you more than 6 weeks to do; but, this book is the best start-up book I've read... it takes the complex process of starting a business, and boils it down to a step-by-step recipe. A must-have for the aspiring business owner.
