She cofounded the San Francisco Landscape Garden Show and was instrumental in its organization for the twelve years it was managed by Friends of Recreation and Parks in San Francisco. I'm not sure why I read these books. Any "how to" book is obsolete and almost dead in the water by the time of it's release...that's how fast technology changes these days. One thing I've noticed publishers of these books do is have you attach to the website for the book to get more current information. I skimmed through this, I admit, but most (if not all) of it was information I already knew.
