This sparkling full-color cookbook features 100 widely varied recipes encompassing everything from tomato and tomatillo, chile, tropical, fruit, corn, bean, garden, ocean, and exotic, to nut, seed, and herb. Includes hints on handling volatile peppers, suggested accompaniments, and, of course, a heat scale.
I LOVE SALSA! This book has lots of great ideas on how to spice up your next party or holiday gathering. Started mixing salsa with salad dressing to try to eat a little more healthy - some really good combinations that really cut the calories and give you lots of extra veggies! This book gave me some new combinations!
Here are some mouth-watering recipes for all types of salsa, from sweet to savory to hella-spicy. Try serving the Cranberry-Orange Salsa, and the Sweet Potato Pecan Salsa with Thanksgiving dinner to put a little kick in an otherwise bland meal. Your relatives (well, the ones you like, anyway) will be grateful.
Excellent book of great recipes and high-quality glossy photos. Being from 1994, I expected it to be a little dated, but this is a cookbook that could have been published today. I am looking forward to trying Tomatillo-Avocado Salsa, Tropical Mango Salsa & Texas Caviar.
