"History is much like an endless waltz. The three beats of war, peace and revolution continue on forever."
Anime, nothing new. Super soldier kids, not a new concept. Super soldier kids in giant robots fighting for peace? no ground breaking news there. What is it that makes Gundam Wing Endless Waltz soo special? Thats not for me to decide for you, but for me, it is about how this anime as a whole talks to me and to the rest of the world. The emotional bond between the Gundam pilots and their Gundams is strong, like the love of a family for its family dog. What makes these teenagers stronger then any of us, is that they realize that their Gundams are used for war, nothing more, and god forbid anything less and they are willing to risk their lives, and their hearts to fight for the peace of the world that has turned against them. Althugh the Gundam pilots ended the war long ago, the new peace has only lasted for a year before human ambition shakes the galexy again. Once again our protagonists take up arms for the world, bu thtis time to teach the world that they will not always be there to do this for them, like a child begining to walk. They teach mankind hat they must stand up and fight for peace and to hold it dearly to their hearts, just as dear as the Gundams are to their pilots. "your not the dogs that wag their tales, your the tailes that get wagged" That quote and the visual of 5 children fighting for their lives and not killing any of their enemies to prove that peace doesnt need to be obtained by killing but simeply by disarmament. This story speaks to the world currently on how wars and evil intentions effect the children of the era as seen in the quote of one gundam pilot Trowa Barton after he detonated his Gundam at the end of the war "Another self-destruct wasted". This was a timeless classic that truly effects the word as a whole and should be taken seriously for its art and its story, but most importantly, its messge.

When I was a child I saw the movie to this, I believe the movie came first by the credits at the end of the manga.

If you saw the movie this is it; 5 gundam pilots after the advents of the TV series are instructed to destroy their Mobile Suites to help inspire peace and there are some people who want it all for themselves.

The one thing I think could of been better in there is for the person who never heard or watched the move to have an explanation on what MS is and MD. I know from the movie and I have watched/read my fair share of mecha shows but I still had to think of what it was in in here for a min.

If you Love the movie and love reading then pick it up, but if you don't like reading what you watched then you might want to pass (at least let time go by so it doesn't feel fresh or if you are gong to rewatch it then you can read it)

This manga sticks pretty true to the anime. There aren’t really any deviations from the original story, so the story is still good. I enjoy the backstory added here in Endless Waltz that was somewhat absent from the original anime. The art in this manga volume is really pretty good. A lot better than what is in the new Gundam Wing manga series. All the designs are drawn great and the shading works well so you can see what is going on. Overall a great manga read.

As someone who has the movie the manga is based around, I found it to be refreshing to see this for sale at a resale shop. The art is nice, the plot is practically the same as the movie, and the overall pace of the manga is decent. Endless Waltz is better if you have read/watched the Gundam Wing series, but this makes for a decent introduction for people wanting to get others into the Gundam franchise.

This manga was a very good adaptaion of the ova Endless Waltz, the are and the story flow with ease as the final battle of the Wing universe comes to a close and the end of the After Colony eara. Now one thing should be notied that the flashbacks are not quite in the same order as the film but it was still a good read.
