Licensed by the Evangelical Free Church, Ken first pastored in Isle, Minnesota and later in Newman Grove, Nebraska. Then he became involved in the newly formed ministry, Youth For Christ, and served as their first full-time Magazine Editor. Ken became connected to a fledgling organization called Baptista Films, where he wrote and then directed his first film drama. Later he launched Gospel Films. Over 200 Christian films have been produced since then, including original dramas for many foreign countries. As a pioneer in Christian films, Ken will be best remembered for the drama story, PILGRIM’S PROGRESS, produced in 1977. Featured in the story is Liam Neeson in his first screen role, as Evangelist. Ken began a writing career that spanned 7 decades. 77 books were published, at least 1 per decade, with 19 books alone published in the 40's. As an author, Ken will be best remembered for his work, WHERE TO FIND IT IN THE BIBLE, published in 1996 by Thomas Nelson. Over 4 million copies are in print, and it remains a busy seller on the Nelson backlist.
This is a wonderful reference tool to use in studying the Bible. It is not as exhaustive as some other Christian reference tools, but I use it often and wouldn't want to be without it.
Very good resource. Can look up scriptures references from everything from business, entrepreneur and etc. Not only a Christian cross reference but it references life application topics on marriages, teenagers, etc. you will have to do some digging in the Bible to find what you are looking for but it gives you a start. I continue to use this.
This book will be a very useful resource to find verses related to a particular topic. It is different than a concordance because the author determined whether the passage was dealing with the topic even if the topic word isn't directly used in the verse. It does not claim to be exhaustive for every topic but the number of verses included for each topics (or at least the ones I looked at so far) is still impressive.
I've used it over the years as a useful tool to find themes in the Bible, and as one to introduce topics within for my children. Further topics and references for serious in- depth study, however, would have been more helpful, but this resource does the trick.
It is difficult for me to ever give a five-star rating on a book. But, this book has been a great tool in my finding the meaning to many scriptures sited in my novel, Faith - Seventy Times Seven.
I searched for topics on alcoholism, faith, forgiveness, divorce, abuse, abortion...it's all written for finding answers to today's issues, concerns, and problems.
This is a great asset to keep on your desk each and every time you want to find a subject matter discussed in the Bible. Good job Ken on your writing!
Ek gebruik hierdie boek baie.
The subject line says it all. I'll never know if this is a good digital book because I cannot possibly find specific topics without turning each page. Maybe print versions would be better because you could fan through the pages. I have no studied comment on the content, because I could never find anything I searched for. Disappointing.
A great companion to any scholar needed quick assess to what and where in the Bible a subject can be found. Of coarse there are better books, but few can be acquired at Wal-Mart.
