Great beat poetry. Top of the charts for this particular genre. If it weren't for Bob Dylan mentioning Bremser on one of his album covers, this guy would have remained even more unknown.

this is two books in one and the second book angel is much more engaging than poems of madness. the best way to describe these poems is 'an internal/external diatribe against society and self but at the same time it is a celebration of love as ultimate triumph in the face of exceedingly bad odds and one son-of-a-gun situation after the other'.

this is Bremser's best book and this particular edition is extremely hard to find. jazz/beat poetry at its best.
