Rate this book
More than just another tribute to the resiliency of the human spirit, the inspiring story of football coach Charlie Wedemeyer, diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease over 15 years ago, also offers powerful examples of commitment and love in a time when so many "difficult" marriages end in divorce. Charlie is so funny! Lucy is so inspiring - even if she doesn't think so. They are not all about ALS, they are about families pulling together and giving encouragement beyond that inner circle back to the community. This book was written a while ago. But, read it and google Charlie for the updates.

I enjoyed this book mainly because I know Charlie and his family. He is a genuine and tenderhearted man that you can't help but love. This is a wonderful story.
