Megan Donnelly is searching for Mr. Right. Jack Meredith would be perfect except he's her best friend. She shares her secrets, her dreams, even her dating catastrophes with him. She's not his type and he's never shown that kind of interest in her. A romance with her is not what he wants. Jack knows Megan is the only girl for him but he hesitates; once he crosses that platonic line there's no going back. If she's as tired of serial dating as he thinks, it's time to make his move even if it risks their friendship. Will Megan ever realize she doesn't need someone just like Jack when she can have the real thing?
This pegged as romantic comedy but it was chic lite and without any humor. Unless standing in the kitchen making ham salad sandwiches: how many times? Three? seems fun? This reminded me of some episode of TV show "Friends" over and over and over again without jokes. Bland, predictable. Disappointing
I came across this book in an Amazon 200 books for $.99 sale and it sounded cute so I bought it. I'm glad I did because it didn't disappoint. It was a nice story with likable characters and I enjoyed it. Sure it was typical, but it also has points in it that make it unique which is really all you can ask for in a romance novel these days.
