A small town is touched by the hand of God. A drama teacher discovers a talent she can neither anticipate nor handle. A scientist is obsessed with everlasting life. A trio of teenagers gets more than they bargained for on All Hallows' Eve.
From a classic tale of a child-hating monster to soul-searching endeavors of love, self-awareness, and pride, Fritz holds no bars in this, his first collection of short works featuring ten far-reaching stories that will resonate throughout the deepest chambers of your heart and mind.
Keith Edwin Fritz entered this world on Halloween. The year, 1974, was the same as when Stephen Edwin King published his first novel. Keith prefers to think neither the date nor their middle names were a coincidence.
Today Keith teaches Middle School English and writes to his heart's content during his "spare time". The best of these moments are nearly always by moonlight. The worst of them are also by moonlight.
Keith, his wife Corina, and their daughter Isabella (Bella) live in Stewartsville, New Jersey.
Quite the variety of short stories in this collection and each one will make you stop and think, a few area bit sad and a few are a bit horrific but all are great reads. I loved the author's writing style and the dimension of the characters, even in these short stories where there isn't much room for character development. The author did an amazing job giving the reader believable characters in each tale. Great job from an amazingly versatile author.
This collection of short stories has a little something for everyone. Unsettling creatures from your nightmares accompany subtler hazards present in everyday life. Great if you are looking for a quick fix of some tales that might just get under your skin.
