I got to page 22 where the authors say that you spend 2 weeks in the place of healing that looks like a Greek resort with “Lords of Karma”, and this is when I tossed the book away. I’m a past life regressionist and have done over 150 sessions and I can tell you that there are no “Lords of karma” just like there’s no concept of time up there. The rest I didn’t bother with. If you’re new to these concepts this book may seem interesting to you, but the information here is false! Read Brian Weiss and Michel Newton instead. Their claims are research based and you will learn amazing things!
I regret I have read this book. It is so large that it has a lot of contradictory ideas. Not to say that some of the ideas inside seem childish and stupid, the fruit of the wild imagination of these two authors. I simply recommend to avoid reading this book and all the other books written by Barbara Martin.
Underwhelming. It felt more like a hypothetical tale, discussed from someone who had little concrete evidence to back their theories. The author throws in many ideas, some relevant and interesting and others that just make absolutely zero sense. When discussing a person’s individual karma, I was on board with Karmic relationships with money, family, etc. But when the discussion sifted to the macrocosm, such as the Karma of race and the world, the author needed to do a little more research or consult the book of life for clearer answers to these complex topics.
Just finished this AMAZING book! I highly, highly recommend it! It's very well-written and easy to understand. Barbara Y. Martin and Dimitri Moraitis have done wonderful jobs of simply explaining the vast and intricate systems of karma, reincarnation, and how we are all connected. Namaste.
Great contents overall but so wrong about hypnosis
The author describes the hypnosis as a process where the client giving up the power to the hypnotherapist completely. This is so wrong. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. Your consciousness is still there, just a bit more quiet. You don’t give up your power. You decide the depth you want to get into. If you don’t want to answer the question or if you want to go to the bathroom under hypnosis, you can do all that because you still have your conciousness. I was enjoying the book then she wrongly wrote about hypnosis. Since she was so wrong about the thing that is so easily verifiable, it makes me questions whether all the thing she wrote that are unverifiable even true. As the author states in the book, if she is not a hypnotherapist and has never received a hypnosis, I don’t think she should be giving advice on this subject. Especially if it’s wrong.
