Abell's photos are, for the most part, nowhere near as good as the work in his other books. The photos taken by Nissen are only remarkable for their subject matter---the composition, color, lighting, etc are no more interesting than those of any amateur photographer. All of the photos are printed too small on the page, especially considering the photographers agreed not to crop any of the work.
The photographers do encounter some pretty interesting wildlife, though, and Abell does have some shining moments. Not enough to make this a book worth buying, even if you are an Abell fan, but worth checking out if your local library has it (which mine did).
