I truly love Marie's writing style and I find once I start reading one of her books I cannot stop. There is a burning need to keep turning the pages and find out what will happen next. In Plain Sight was that type of book for me as well.
Vicki Collins is was an interesting character to read. She wasn't your typical MC who has had a major trauma in her life and lets it tear her down. Vicki put her love life on hold for sure, but she kept living the rest of her life. Pushing herself in her career and moving forward.
Then Joe Bradshaw happens to be on the elevator with her one night when the elevator stops between floors and the rest, as they say, is history. Joe is your typical smoking hot, rich, alpha male but he doesn't have a real rough side like we see in many other alpha male characters. He reads Vicki well and takes things very slow with her, treating her gently in their relationship, not necessarily in the bedroom. Most alpha males bulldoze their way in and push the women into giving them a chance, but not Joe. Joe is smooth and Vicki doesn't even realize she is being seriously courted while having the best sex of her life!
Another definite must read book by Marie Tuhart!!!
Victoria Collins has been following a few simple rules to keep her life uncomplicated after an ex-boyfriend made her lose her job and made her personal life hell, don't date and keep to herself. Joe Bradshaw has been waiting for an opportunity to find out what is underneath Victoria's frosty exterior, when they end up stuck in an elevator together he finds a passionate woman who turns his world upside down.
This book had a few flaws but overall was completely enjoyable and kept you captivated. I really liked Joe, he has a seductive way of drawing you in and breaking down the walls Victoria has protected herself with.
Mercy, this was one hot short story especially when it starts out with some smokin' hot sex in an elevator. I really liked both characters and especially the dirty talking hero. Wow, after hearing him tell exactly what he was gonna do, I needed a cold shower. Oh, and btw, they did some pretty creative fooling around on a plane. My only complaint was that it was too short and the resolution of a stalker bad guy was not really resolved to my satisfaction so I guess I would really have to give 4.5 stars for that reason. Great little read and I would like to read more from this author.
Much better story.... Which was lacking in the first of this series. However I have no idea how this story has anything to do with the first or the ranch, it's just a random book. Still a cute story.
Liked the book a lot. It had a sexy and domineering hero and a quiet but sexy heroine who could hold her ground over the steamroller that was Joe. The sex scenes were so hot you definitely needed to have relief of some kind. Love the author. It was a great short read.
