Snared
Snared is what happens when a 21st-century college couple hooks up with a dispirited Vietnam vet just returned home in 1969. With the help of a Vietnamese shaman, they meet in 1861 southern Ohio. The threesome, of the same age but from far different times and cultures, is forced to live in a world that is foreign to all three. The American Civil War is just beginning. Both the North and the South are righteous in their beliefs. Both believe the war will be short, close to bloodless, and both sides predict victory with God on their side. Filled with romance, humor and suspense, Snared is an excellent read guaranteed to make the reader rethink the cost of war. In suspenseful scene after scene, Dillon pulls the reader along a wonderful ride of escaped slaves, murder, duplicity, humor and, finally, love and peace. You won't put this one down until the end!
