3.4 Stars cause I was hooked in the beginning and just a little done with it by the end cause of all the events that happened.
I was really wanting to like this book. I think it had a lot of potential but there were too many climaxes (not that kind of climax -even though it is adult themed) and I honestly felt like I was on a roller coaster ride. AS soon as a problem was dealt with, another would arise and it just felt like a never ending thing that I was like "Ok, when is this gonna end? I seem to be getting a little bit bored now..." But I did like the romance between Derek and Emily. He really knows how to treat a woman. Constantly complimenting her, buying her things, and always protecting her from the enemies. I was routing for him and Emily to get together the etire story and when she finally realizes her true feelings for him, will it be too late and did she lose him for good this time?
I do recommend this book for those who like vampire romance with some very brief erotic moments (its not dragged out and going into full detail like some I've read before) and with a lot of time on their hands cause it is a bit long, in my opinion.
