I said to myself: I liked one book from this author, and the other one not so much, I'm going to give it another try.
I said, I cant ask a lot of this books, this is a "pizza-delivery-guy wants to fix your 'pipes' type of plot", ok.

I really liked Ali, she was a cool character that was beginning to understand herself and her sexuality. She didnt deserve that moron she got for a boyfriend, who is not only sexist, a double moral type of guy, but also slut shamed ally. Toxic by the bunch.

Is this guy supposed to turn anyone on? I get the macho alpha thing, but come on, this guy had nothing good going on for him, he was such a tool.

The dude was obsessed w/ Alis virgnity, but obsessed about bedding her but not actually wanting to bed her? He said "no is no"; but when Ali says "stop, you are hurting me" he ignores her.

There is kink, there is BDSM, but this was abuse or at least very VERY toxic behaviour.

I really wished Ali would have dumped his ass and had sex with her friend Finn. The character deserved better.

Also, it is said that ALi is plus size and latino/asian, whats that on the cover?

EDIT: and that party OH MY GOD, no. How hey show you parties in "A gentlement on the streets" is so much better than this. The dude want her to watch, but doesnt want her to play .. ? what??
And how long were they bf-gf for him not even seeing her naked? and while they were together he still had this sex parties? and he kept it a secret from her, thats not nice dude. At all.

synopsis:
ali fell in love with jonas when she was working for his firm, and jonas had some very strong feelings for her, but dumped her because she didn't have any experience and he felt that someone with no experience wouldn't be open to his lifestyle. when his friends and business partners invite ali to jonas' birthday party, the feelings start all over again, but ali says that she has had sex, so jonas decides to see if she can handle what he throws at her. his parties are infamous for their lack of inhibitions sexually. when ali is more than receptive, jonas knows that he's got a one in a million kind of girl.

what i liked: that even though ali was a virgin, she didn't act like one, all blushing and "oh, what is that?" that most authors seem to feel like virgins should be like. in this day and age, with the amount of things available on the internet, and in books, that doesn't have to be the stock virgin reaction. i liked that ali was open to different things, and that as long as she was doing them with jonas, it didn't bother her. i also liked that jonas was different with her, that he didn't want to share, and when he found out that she was still a virgin, he gave them some privacy for the actual deed. i also liked the friends who don't have a story yet, and really want to read them.

what i didn't like: jonas' archaic attitude that because ali was a virgin she wouldn't have any idea or like what he liked. unless he acutally tried or asked, how would he know?
