50 Interviews: Successful Job Seekers, Unexpected Journey...

Rate this book
This is not a "nuts and bolts" book with secret recipes to improve your job seeking skills like resume writing and interviewing. There are many authors far more qualified in those areas. It is rather a record of the journey of ten successful job seekers, capturing some of the insights they acquired through their career transition. The interviews begin with the interviewee's past employment background, and a description of their new-found jobs. The ensuing answers revealed many personal reflections on the experiences that are unique to job seekers and what that journey became for each of unexpected paths, people they met along the way, what they learned, emotional ups-and-downs, the influence of friends and family, and the transformative role this career transition had in their lives and the lives of those they love and care about. This book will be useful to life coaches, pastors and other spiritual leaders, as well asmental health providers. It encompasses the uniqueness of the job seeking experience which is comparable to, and yet different from, divorce, loss of a family member, or any other significant life tragedy or change. Employers who are downsizing would bewell advised to offer this book to employees as a positive, practical job finding resource as they leave the company. These are real interviews with real people. Only the names have been changed to protect their identity. Volume 1 is the first of five and contains the first 10 interviews.
