About the author

Elizabeth Daly is an Irish writer who has had stories in her head since she was a toddler. Living in the west of Ireland, she has been scribbling on the back of copybooks all her life.
During her early teens, she fell in love with fantasy, history, and mythology. Her dream was to visit and write about all the places she read about. Even the fantastical ones.
As an adult, she became a travel bug, exploring new places and feeding her insatiable curiosity about the world around her. This has fuelled her imagination and provided thousands of ideas to draw from.
For her, writing is a way to share those emotions, experiences and concepts that are rarely talked about in real life, but many have known. All wrapped up in a good story, of course.
Legacy Bound is her debut novel.

Legacy Forged is a character-driven fantasy that balances emotional depth with rising stakes. Elizabeth Daly builds a world where legacy isn’t just inheritance — it’s responsibility, pressure, and identity.

The protagonist’s journey feels personal and layered, especially as they struggle between expectation and self-definition. The story shines in its emotional conflicts just as much as its external ones, making the battles feel meaningful rather than just action scenes.

There’s a steady sense of destiny, sacrifice, and inner strength running through the narrative, perfect for readers who enjoy fantasy rooted in growth, resilience, and purpose.

This is now my favorite comfort novel. One of the best pieces of writing I have read in many years. This is on par with Holly Black. The fact that Ms Daly was able to create a story of deep, true, wholesome love, without using the word “love”; it amazes me. I could actually feel the emotion. Feel the warmth, the comfort, trust, and belonging through characters on a page. Amazing. And the world building… superb. I can not WAIT for book 3.

This is book 2, of a fantasy adventure/romance. Zero spice, but it is not missed AT ALL. The bond and emotions take you beyond. Trust me. Ms Daly creates a medieval style world of magic and adventure. Deep friendship that are put to true tests. True love that is not hokey, mated or fated. Family, both found and born. The lines between good and bad are blurred and “human”. No intrinsically evil or good. Reasons that cause you to see both sides and judge with your own morals. A series not to be missed!

I couldn't wait to read the next installment in Elizabeth Daly's Legacies series and am so glad it's finally here in the world. The story is filled with adventure and high stakes, but at its core, it's about character and the evolution of self. William and Isobel will become members of your family, and you will care deeply about their fate and states of mind. This novel has been fleshed out with even more memorable characters and in depth world-building. Looking forward to Book 3.

This is an awesome book and you should read it.

Especially if you read the first one. Sorry, no spoilers here. I'm really happy about how this story turned out for two of the characters and hope in the next book that the third character is able to work things out to everyone's benefit without compromising too much of themselves in the bargain.

I loved this! I waited so long for the continuation of Isobel and William's story. It took a direction I never expected! The ending was bittersweet (and inconclusive!). I can't wait for the next one to find out what happens.

Loved it!
I was totally invested from the beginning. Love all 3 main characters and the journey they took to a whole new unique world. Can' wait for the next book to be released.
