Nice illustrations, rather mundane story. Not sure how the wordless two-page spread helps reading.

A new boy moved next door to Addie and she wasn't very happy about it. When she tried to peek over the fence to see him his dog, Ginger, barked at her and scared her and Addie ran back into her house to tell her mother. Later when the new neighbor went riding his bike down the street Addie jumped and her bike and followed him. They crashed into each other which made Addie upset at him again and she went back home to tell her mother that she wanted the boy to move to the moon. Her mother told Addie that his name was Max and that he wasn't going to move to the moon but that he was going to come over for lunch. This upset Addie even more. When Max arrived he ate and ate and didn't say a word. Addie showed him what had happened to her leg when they crashed and Max showed her that he had lost his tooth when they crashed. She asked what he was going to do with his tooth and he told her that he was going to bury it and that she could help him. While they were burying Max's tooth Ginger barked at them again and scared Addie. Max told Addie it was okay and that Ginger was nice and just wanted to play. They started playing ball with Ginger and became friends.

The simple, yet natural dialog made this an enjoy read. It was easy to get into character while reading this to my boys. A little too simple of a story made it fall a little flat.
