This series essentially is a condensed commentary series. Every volume summarizes each passage and chapter with commentary notes on meanings, backgrounds, and other useful information to help the reader get a big picture view of the book at hand. Readable in an afternoon, reading this would be helpful before beginning a teaching or preaching series on the book.

This particular volume, Revelation, contains helpful sidebars and comparisons of differing eschatological views. While taking a particular stance on the interpretation of Revelation, the author also includes differing views on major visions and symbols in the letter. All in all this volume is very helpful for understanding the big picture of Revelation, gaining background information on the culture and context, and shedding insight on major interpretive issues.
